  1. To stop model building burn-out, I stop building models... for a while. It's a hobby, not a job. Do something else until the desire comes back again. David G.
  2. Subtitle: "Don't shoot! I'm on your side!" David G.
  3. Clever idea using the coat-hanger elbows for the stacks. David G.
  4. Very clever mods! I just wonder what effect placing that extra engine weight behind the rear axle would have in real life. David G.
  5. Joe, sorry about the hood on that Plymouth, crummy luck on that. The rest looks great, I hope you can fix the hood. David G.
  6. Danno, When I click on it, the flyer opens at the same size as the thumbnail. It's difficult to read, but it looks like the date is Sept. 29th at the usual place on Greenway Rd. If this is correct, I'll be there! David G.
  7. Very Cool and Very Well Done! Do you have any pics of the undercarriage? I'm curious to see how you handled the frame, engine and driveline. David G.
  8. As the title says, I updated my personal website yesterday. Here's the link for those who are interested. David G.
  9. Smoooth and Deadly! David G.
  10. This looks like a fun build. I know I'm enjoying your updates, thanks for sharing them. David G.
  11. Excellent work, it just looks great. David G.
  12. True, that's why I use multiple this coats. I just can't seem to mix epoxy properly. Mine usually comes out sticky, or just fails to set properly. David G.
  13. I use clear acryllic gloss medium for the same effect. Acryllic gloss medium also works for making the "glass" covers on the dashboard instruments. I find acryllic medium easier to work with than epoxy- at least for me. Just another option. Great looking Hudson too! David G.
  14. Very Cool! I love those old drag cars. David G.
  15. The rust looks great! It all seems to be coming along nicely! David G.
  16. Clean and simple, Excellent work! David G.
  17. Congrats! That's a nice haul at a great price. I've seen junkyards with half that content go got more than twice what you paid. I love model car junk yards and I envy you the fun you'll have sorting all that out. David G.
  18. Looking good! David G.
  19. Nice pair of Chevies, Biran. The natural sunlight adds something to the photos. David G.
  20. Everything looks spot-on, great work! David G.
  21. Just plain excellent! I always wondered how those folks managed to support all that extra weight on those skinny little tires. There must have been 200 lbs of air in them! David G.
  22. Clean and tight build. Excellent work! David G.
  23. Earle, I've found that the interior tub seems a bit too wide at the top and doesn't want to slide all the way up into the body. I've filed down the outside protrusions where the dash board mounts into the tub and a little bit of the top front edges where the tub meets the tops of the doors. It seems to have helped, but it's still not a great fit. Maybe yours has similar issues that may be causing your chassis fit problems. Thanks for your feedback. David G.
  24. I agree with Roger's idea of moving the headlights out to the fenders. Additionally, I'd like to suggest glass covered, recessed headlights similar to the early VW Beetles. With these, you could also put a turn indicator lamp inside the headlight enclosure. Either way, it'll be difficult to select the "right" headlights without seeing them in conjunction with a grille. Fabulous build! David G.
