  1. It's your LHS. My LHS as well as HobbyHouse in Ottawa , and every other shop I've been to carries them
  2. I can handle the kids who think a shopping mall is their playground. What gets me are the inconsiderate idiots who block the isle because they've decided they're gonna have a conversation. Oh they see you,and know you're there, they just don't care. So, what I've started doing is moving their cart out of the way so I can get by. That really makes them mad
  3. I walked in that day and filled my cart up. The checkout girl say's "Sir...they're all the same thing" She looked at me like I was a dumbass when I said yes. I know. lol I might be a dumbass..but I had just bought close to 2k worth of kits for less than $200. That was a good day!
  4. I dont think you're looking hard enough Jon...Chapters has at least 2 3-tiered shelves full with just about every north american car mag in publication
  5. Thats awesome...I'm hoping they'll re-release my all time fave kit, MPC's 1/20 Saber Vette. I also wouldn't mind the PL NASCAR and Funny Car kits being released.
  6. Chapters or Coles will order anything you want. 9 times out of 10 they'll have what i want right in the store
  7. Failed to Load Image , thats the error I get when I try to change my avatar pic. Thats ok though...It's Christmas, and my Grinch works fine
  8. this might help a little http://www.straightlinemodeler.org/wirewheels.htm
  9. My LHS can no longer get MM Semi Gloss back for some reason. MM Metalizers in the spray can as well. (Yet the HS in Ottawa get's them on a regular basis..go figure) Anyway, I forget whether is equal amounts of Flat Black and Black or Gloss Black. Which is it? --- Mike
  10. Thats too bad... also, Queen should apologize to us for that song!
  11. If it's been through BC..make sure you tag it with a pot leaf or something!
  12. I've been trying to change it and always get an error "Failed to set a new photo" It's in the correct format and the suggested size.Any idea why this is happening? --- Mike
  13. Great work as usual Donn
  14. Thanks! I'll do that tonight! Hey man, there's an idea. And a good one too as you've blown all that retirement money hehe
  15. I began thinking that myself when first using Donn's technique with my Badger 200. Great airbrush, I do use it for interior and smaller parts. But using it for wide area coverage on a body..no good. Doesn't have a wide enough spray. I was seeing stripes after the paint dried. The H5 with it's wide tip doesn't do that.
  16. I've learned it's hit and miss with decanted paint, so it's best to thin a little every time. I think anyway
  17. Donn, I used to email you quite a bit right after I got your Airbrushing DvD. You're super-accommodating and patient with your replies. There were a few questions I didn't ask because as I said, I was emailing you with a crapload of questions hehe One question I've always wanted to ask you about your Paashe. Do you open it up all the way when you shoot your paint? Halfway maybe? I used to use my Badger 200 but decided to buy an H5 as you suggested. When I'm painting with it it's barely open, so little in fact that I'd have to do 3-4 passes over the metalizer to see any color at all. What about you Virgil? Are you using a Paasche? or your Iwata? --- Mike
  18. Beautiful job....dash looks nice as well...did you free hand it or mask it off?
  19. I'm not a Dwayne "the rock' Johnson fan...but It's a great car...worth watching it for that reason only
  20. Integrity...something that's lost on too many business owners Thumbs up for Rick and Bruce
