  2. I contacted them earlier this year about just that. they may be releasing many of the older MPC Pro Stock kits in the next few years
  3. Has anyone bought from him before? I came across his site via a link from a site i cannot remember. Looks to have some great stuff. I might order afew things but would like to know if anyone here has any feedback. http://vcgresin.atspace.com/
  4. Sweet build...and do be careful..that saw snatch can be nasty! tee hee
  5. We used to have that much by the middle of November..20 years or so ago..gradually the snow started coming later and later..and here we are 2 days before christmas..and no snow on the ground...it flips me out that you guys get that much snow down there
  6. I got a fever, and the only prescription.........is more cow bell
  7. They all look the same and there are a ton of the same model. I counted 350+ sunfires on an hour and a half round trip. At first it was funny..then it slowly became a little sickening!
  8. lol naturally! If the positions were reversed, i;d want you to do the legwork!! I'll see what I can do!
  9. Does anyone make a decal for the MSD-6A Ignition control box? I know SMBC has one to go with his resin piece, but I can make my own. I just need the decal. I looked through a few Slixx sheets and didnt see any..or maybe I missed it.
  10. I ALWAYS buy from my LHS. Even if I don't need anything when I go in, I know I'm gonna walk out with something. Wether it be a few bottles and/or cans of paint. Or a kit that I already have more than one of, and that I'll probably never build. I'll do whatever part I can to make sure Graham stays in business. I'm even starting to check out Sci-Fi and figure kits now because I have almost every car kit he sells! hehe I do buy from Dennis at Model Express, but that is usually Slixx decals, resin parts or older kits that haven't been on anyone's shelves in years. We've had other hobby shops here that have existed along side Grahams shop, but they've all closed down years ago. He is the sole survivor. The best thing about him..he knows his stuff..he used to race cars in his younger days and this is his hobby. So he can converse about anything from drag racing in the 70's to how to correct any issues with any kit you can think of. This guy is the absolute best and get's my total support! And yes! I AM the president of his fan club!! haha
  11. I wonder if they'll be making any interest off of those holdings
  12. Saw these in this weeks Canadian Tire flyer. I picked up 3 of these units..they're on sale at $19.99. I bought..went home and set it up. Saw that they make great storage units so i went out and bought 2 more. The link is to the same unit but on the amazon site. The images on Canadian Tire are Flash http://www.amazon.co...m/dp/B0015S9KPM They're great..cheap and take literally 2 minutes to assemble. They're also interlocking. I'd take pic's of my setup, but only have limited access to a camera. At $19.99 though...they're a great way to organize and straighten up your area. Added a few pics
  13. From one Maiden fan to another...awesome build. Beautiful work..and the plate is great as well!
  14. Thats a great article..thanks very much for posting it. and thanks everyone else for your input. Mike
  15. Cut the bottom of the bottle out, then cut that in half
  16. very nice...champagne gold?
  17. Like Rommell I started using silver beads and tubes from the Michaels beading section They work really well and cost next to nothing compared to how many you get for the price. \i did buy the wrong one though..they should start at Size #0, no #1/ These are the silver tubes...the silver beads come in the same variety pack, again starting at #0. You can also get them in Gold.
  18. Nothing has ever given me a harder time than painting with a can. I cant seem to get it right, I've wasted so much paint this way, it's just nuts. How do you guys do it? How far do you keep the nozzle from the surface? Whats your technique for a 'mist coat'. Thats one thing I could never figure out how to do well. Do you hold the can way back and press the nozzle down all the way? Do you hold it close and press very lightly? How do you can users do it?
  19. SA, MCM, RPM, Drag Racer, Drag Racing, Muscle Car Revier, Mopar Action, the ocassional Hot Rod, Hot Rod Deluxe.
  20. The Master returneth! (is that a word?) Welcome back Rom!
  21. I usually leave'em in place since many times they're butted up against part of the chassis itself. Hard to get rid of when it's right up against an edge. Mold lines? I don't bother with mold lines any more. unless it's on a really out in the open place or it creates a fit issue. I used to take mold lines off over every little piece, then i realized i was spending more time doing that than anything else. Going from a grade rough enough to take it off, then stepping up the grades to get rid of the scratches isn't my idea of fun. If I ever build for a contest, i'll take the time, but as it is now, I'm doing it for me. I can live with mold lines in places no one is gonna see.
  22. i'd use it to practice painting techiques you might want to work with in the future. thats what i did anyway
  23. I spoke with Bob Pace last night. Nice fella. he said it would cost anywhere from $70 to $150 for shipping depending on which booth I purchase
  24. Great start. great car! Could you maybe take a better shot of the open trunk? I like the looks of what you've done. I'd like to try my hand at replicating that for a build I have planned.
  25. I let mine run for 10 15 min after i paint with no sign of fumes afterwards. I also make sure the door to my work room is always closed
