  1. Compare to a real car - most models have over sized wire. The DM wires scale out very close to 1:1. I usually use the race version because it "looks" more in scale, even though it's too thick for factory stock style stuff.
  2. Cool combo! Nice work.
  3. Went to the Spokane Valley store yesterday…model aisle is getting restocked so a bunch were moved to "clearance", which is 40% off, or the same as coupon shopping... I buy Tamiya primer at Hobby Lobby.
  4. Look for embossing powder in the craft section. Not exactly flocking, but unless your going for a shag carpet look, it's closer to scale. Apply the same way as flocking.
  5. The Nova wagon kits would be my first choice.
  6. Very cool. Great work and great model!
  7. First thing I do anytime I roll my car is apply the parking brake. What's that Jack Handy thing... "I bet a funny thing about driving a car off a cliff is, while you're in midair, you still hit those brakes! Hey, better try the emergency brake!" -- Deep Thoughts by Jack Handy
  8. I had some pinto beans for dinner last night.
  9. Very nice model. Great paint. Very realistic.
  10. Great looking model! I like the conversion back to base. Cool.
  11. Wow. Beautiful model! That color blue is fantastic - and smooth. Great work!
  12. Ahhh…probably totalled to begin with...
  13. Cool! Nice work on the grill and tail light panel.
  14. Nicely done replica! Great work. Those decals look very good.
  15. Came across this old truck on a fire in central Washington... Thought it was pretty cool - cow trails around it kept it from burning.
  16. Good pots don't make good dinners any more than bad ones make bad dinners... I use both an DSLR and my iPhone for photos. If I take the time to set up decent lighting, my iPhone takes decent photos.
  17. I drove through AZ last year up near Payson - the State Patrol was doing some sort of commercial truck emphasis/sting operation - I have never seen so many Patrol vehicles in one place! Over 100 patrol vehicles pulling over and inspecting big rigs all over the highway. Haven't seen that anyplace else.
  18. I was really surprised when I saw a Hennessey car driving around Spokane - O think it was a Nissan...my Hyundai couldn't keep up. That's a cool video - unbelievable how fast that thing gets to 270 mph...just getting to 270 at all is insane.
  19. Sorry - I thought you had the Revell repackaged version - which has really bad tires. My AM version has decent tires.
  20. Yes, the paint more than likely did that. A lot of those paints - Krylon, etc, even ones labeled "enamel" - will craze plastic. Use a good primer and it will keep the "hot" paint from the plastic. You may still encounter some issues, I have had mixed results with hardware store paints - some I like, others dry weird or do other odd things.
  21. Did Ford make two door country squires? Jimmy Flintstone has a couple four door - '57 and '59. The old Revell was four doors too.
  22. Yeah, the Revell tires are poorly made - tread surface is sunken in and distorted. You could try to find an AM version and use the tires...some early versions (the ones with all the problems) can be found relatively inexpensive.
  23. Would "Model T" be a trademark or copyright? Trademarks last as long as the company keeps registering it - so forever if needed. So, did Ford keep registering "Model T"? Notice Ford is obscured on the box art too - it doesn't actually say "Ford".
