  1. They also used it in the Monogram Elcamino funny car called (Hornet)...if I remember right....I loved these set ups and the chassis they used in the kits.
  2. Welcome..! Nice Cobra build.
  3. Shame hobby lobby does not carry them....
  4. Welcome Mike...! I like the very very late 50s through 70s body styles...to me there classics.
  5. Nice build...! I remember building the old Ertl Blueprint series kits back in the day....awesome kits that need to come back out other than the ones from recent years of them...not that they weren't good too.
  6. Craig...Thanks for the information...I wonder if they offer a dashboard for the 69 or wheel covers for it..? My car and the model have the formal roof so I know the glass from a 70 will work on it.
  7. I use to own a 69 Impala HT SS years ago...love the grille with the hidden headlamps. I have a 69 old rebuilder from my dads collection but needs parts...for one the dashboard top is missing...any ideas..?
  8. COOL 61 Chevy....love the older stuff. A friend sent me a Revell 57 Ford Del Rio wagon kit for my birthday.
  9. Very cool...! I love that feeling of finding something like that plus looking at those old box arts are always a joy...and a smile.

  13. Me too...Thank you very much...Happy birthday Scott...
  14. Id put it in a case and put it with mine...what better way to be a tribute to your friend..?...looks good as it is to me...sorry for your loss. I have whats left of my dads oldies...some will remain the way they are...others have to have work done on them and parts found they need repairs in order to save them due to damage.
  15. I wish I had your skills....LOL...
  16. Right back at ya Vince....ready to deal again anytime with you.
  17. Pat...its a great feeling isn't it. Some I had to toss were for some of my dads oldies...that hurt.
  18. Dann.... I am the same way plus the old boxes are great for storage and being able to keep track of whats what. To make things even sicker after our tornado I had to toss out some old boxes/instructions/decals to some old kits, etc. I have due to there getting soaked and damaged beyond any use...now there in baggies.... Plus the old boxes remind me of better days and make me smile just looking at them.
  19. That is unbelievable luck it got there ok. I am one that likes the old boxes and instructions...I had one guy send me one that he cut up the original box to make it fit in the one he had to ship it in...bummer.
  20. Welcome Rick..! Thank you for your service to us all..! I have been building/restoring models and promos since I was a kid...now disabled its a great way to pass all the time and keep active. Im a die hard very very late 50s through 70s body style guy of almost anything...LOL.. Looking forward to seeing your work...
  21. Congrats Mike...! I wish you all much happiness together....
  22. Cool find...another note is I believe its the only van like this with the proper roof ribs they had...and it still has Mr T in it. All small block Chevys from this era look the same.
