  1. Welcome Matthew...! I wish you a speedy recovery too...been there myself its no fun...I have 15 pieces in my back...some in my neck from a car accident. If it were not for building/restoring models and promos Id be very bored...its a great way to pass all the time.
  2. Looks beautiful....love the color fits it vary well.
  3. Very nice..! I have always liked some of the snap kits...they build nicely and are a great break from doing major builds. Same the Johan ones are so hard to get a hold of.
  4. I miss the golden years of it....60s and early 70s era cars...once they started to look all the same I lost interest for the most part.
  5. Ace...yes its only money...but one has to have it to spend it....money is that paper with green ink on it right...???
  6. Ours had model kits still after Christmas here....Hobby Lobby has them here but ours its a hit and miss thing rather they will get anything in that has been issued or re-issued.
  7. I agree...self etching primer will help a lot too.
  8. Very cool...! I like the little accessories that the kits came with...they make great diorama items or little touches to a build.
  9. To me its the cars or vehicles they are of that I like...bad kit good kit snap I do not care pretty much I just like them for what they are of. Some kits require more work to build...its just how they are to me. If its of interest to me Ill get one or try to....they all are what you make of them...I have made some cool replicas from junk or damaged kits/models before one I spent a month working the body into what I wanted it to be. I am just happy the companies are listening to us for what we want.
  10. Nie.... You should just be able to treat it like a plastic kit...clean the body up maybe wet sand to make it smooth and prep it for primer and paint Id think..?
  11. Hang in there buddy....yes its wicked stuff...will be praying all night for you all.
  12. Vince buddy.... You all have my thoughts and prayers my friend.
  13. I have to get me one of those..! I had one as a kid and loved it.
  14. Id like to build some from the first movie sometime...maybe make a diorama..?
  15. Joe....You all hang in there the best you can...lots of prayers still coming.
  16. I dont have any builds to post but I had a 75 and a 82 once...Id love to find a 75 to make a replica of my old one someday. My 82 was the one I had my accident in.
  17. Nice Randy..! Clean build looks great. I once owned a 75....I loved that car.
  18. I like it looks nice to me. I have has builds/restorations that have challenged my patients and will to get them done before too...think we all have at times. We are our worst critics....the build only has to make the builder happy in the end.
  19. Nie...Nice...I could never handle all the small fragile parts...LOL..
  20. Nice one Al...!
  21. I use spay cans...LOL
  22. Cool ideas everyone. I have a huge amount of project ideas... build replicas of vehicles the family owned over the years...most will be tough to do due to needed parts, etc. My own version of a Tom Daniels like show rod or two. Dream...to find what my dads oldies need to restore them...might as well keep dreaming about this one. A old FWD semi road tractor. 60s pull behind camping trailer with full interior. large diorama of a 60s gas station. 60s/70s station wagon kits, conversions even if there my own ones. 75 Pontiac Trans Am...got to find one first to make it from. And others. For me the main issue is finding the needed parts, models, etc. to do them...I have plenty of time.
  23. LOL... I am anxious to build all the time.
  24. Jim..your welcome. Love to see the big old 60s/70s cars...classy and performance in one package. I knew it was a curbside but missed them when they were out. Some people hate curbside kits...they can make beautiful replicas just like this one.
