  1. No plastic here this year...there is always next year...LOL...
  2. Nice...I can understand that...there are some people that have over 2,000 kits sitting on a shelf or in boxes. Me counting my dads old stuff have probably close to 150 and some of those are build ups or rebuilders...most coming from my dads old collection. I do believe there is a time where one has to use discretion on what they will buy if any in the future once you have so many sitting and what the budget allows...me I only get things that are ether cheap or something I really want and have been waiting to find and when I can afford it. I respect one having priorities.
  3. You must have a nice stash then. Snake...I do not believe the early Corvair molds were ever modified to my memory. AMT made 2 versions of the Factory stock 66 Buick Skylark...one a curbside and the other a full detail kit..I have both but they both need parts to restore them...Id buy ether version if they were re-issued most likely many of them. A lot of builders do not like the curbsides or snaps or promo like kits...to me they have loads of potential and worth the time...I love them myself always looking for more. Maybe they could re-issue the old Craftsman kits as a quick build or snapfast plus like line..??? Id buy them. I believe the mold AMT re-tooled of the 66 Buick Skylark was the full detail glue kit one...maybe they have the other one still..? Their 70 Buick Wildcat was a hit...I should have gotten more of them.
  4. Id be right on the Kenworth Challenge mixer kit...it was awesome as a kid..! here is a few others Id love to see or find... 69-72 Grand Prix...(even the custom one called Super Fly). 69,71,72,73 Impala/Caprice. Universal Dune Buggy Jeep kit with 1/2 cab options. 60-63 Ford pickups. 70s Ford Modified race team set...pickup/trailer and early modified dirt track car. 71,72 Pontiac Sprint II maybe MPCs old Mild and Wild series kits with the 2 in 1 or 3 in 1 options? the AMT Craftsman series kits.
  5. Would be really cool if they could re-issue the old 66-69 Bonnevilles and a 70 HT version....but there is tons of others Id be very happy to see again and would buy..some multiples of....I have a ton of ideas for possible re-issues that would be great to have back out.
  6. Nice build Vic...I always like the old school trucks myself.
  7. Cool car Marty...some of the odd kits were pretty neat...I like it.
  8. Welcome Rob...
  9. Bummer...wonder how hard it would be to convert one into a Aspen...?
  10. Same to you all too...hope its a great one for you all.
  11. I have the old MPC kit of this one still sealed but its the Nascar version only and a build up of it from my childhood days. The factory stock version build up I have been trying to restore will end up as a replica of my dads old car someday. Awesome work on it...my build up is no where as nice I did back then..LOL...
  12. Looks cool...Id like to find the mid 70s Dodge Aspen/RR kit to make a replica of a Aspen R/T we once owned.
  13. Welcome Scott....I like your project build.
  14. Yes they are Jeff...and hard to find...bummer. I once owned a beautiful 75 TA we built up with too much horsepower...miss it.
  15. I have the original factor stock one I have been trying to restore once I find the parts it needs to. I always liked this cars looks my dad owned a Cyclone GT once fell in love with its looks and performance.
  16. That is nice Pat....always been a fan of the Tom Daniels series kits.
  17. I like it Tom.... I like the odd engines you just do not see in kits these days plus there are some if you build factory stock like me one needs to find them so there correct. I have several that need straight 6 cyls. in them of the 60s/70s era...can be a pain to find.
  18. That is a nice one!...a friend of mine has a 65 panel same color but no where near as nice of condition.
  19. I never buy anything for myself...and it does not matter if I get anything from anyone else ether...we live on a very small budget..just happy to get everyone else something they will like or be able to use.
  20. You could also check out the spray touch-up paints at your local auto parts store. I wish I could find a 75 Firebird or TA to make a replica of one I use to own.
  21. very cool idea keeps them clean and I have used them for windows on builds before too.
  22. Thanks for the information Stephen...bummer about the headlight detailing though...still may try to find one for parts If I cant find originals for the stock 63 one. One might be able to modify the headlights to look more like the original maybe if one has no other choice?...Id be happy to find just the parts it needs though.
  23. Nice work Ken...
  24. Welcome Paul...be nice to see them.
