  1. Alan... I have always liked camper/motor home related stuff...we need more kits of them in scale. I have a few on the drawing board but only in the parts gathering stages yet and a long way to go.
  2. That is nice...imagination is the mother of invention.
  3. Thanks Mark and Tom....it was a fun build trying to think of everything I could add to it. I still need to get better at it yet...I started a 64 Dodge 330 one awhile back but it got sidelined for the moment.
  4. That is probably why it does have one in it...so it cant be used for other uses?...I have done the same thing before Greg but got paint everywhere.
  5. Nick... Nice job on it....I make most of my own tools when possible...tooth picks too here used them many times.
  6. Man does that movie bring back memories....those guys always busted me up. If someone wanted to add to their movie related builds collection it should not be too hard id think.
  7. Thanks guys...I use to have a Grand Prix Super Fly as a kid...wouldn't mind having another to build for the memories. It would be great if they could restore the tooling for the factory stock versions they would be great sellers. I have many oldies from his collection I need to restore/repair if I ever find the parts they need I have to try and save what is left of them...thanks for looking gents appreciate your comments.
  8. I have one just like him...hes everyone's buddy other than for our dog but he has his favorite..me. We adopted him at close to six weeks old been my little buddy ever since.
  9. Its a shame too....there great kits and you know they would sell.
  10. Nice looking build...love the big cars they had class and power.
  11. Very cool find and price...I should get that lucky but its still nice to see someone get lucky too...cool.
  12. Thanks Kerry... Sorry the photo quality is poor and there dusty guys. The 75 Cutlass is a old Johan snap kit built several years ago...the 71 Grand Prix was built by my dad back in 71 I think...other than for the dust it will remain the way it is...not many of his survived this well over the years. Thanks for looking hope you enjoy them.
  13. Id like to see some kits of these and others in 1/25th scale someday....nice trailer.
  14. I am the same way...I like all kits of the very very late 50s through 70s body styles...2door,4door,wagons,campers,vans,and of coarse big trucks..LOL.. First thing you need to do is figure out a good kit to start with that fits what you would like to make from it something in the era of trucks you want to build one of and go from there. The Diamond REO...AMTs Western Star are good starting areas in my opinion...they have the older truck look. Internet photos will give you a good idea of what things should look like and then you can decide what you want to do with yours to make it your own. I have no photos of any but there easy to find just google them...GM Diesel engines. Best advise anyone ever gave me is to treat every part as if it were a model itself.
  15. I have the same problem from time to time and cant figure it out. What makes it worse is when its the old and hard to find ones your working on and no idea where you can find replacements for them. Many of my dads oldies have lost parts due to moves and other catastrophes by mother nature and resin casters just do not make many parts they need...yep there must be Gremlins running around.
  16. I like it...very cool build..! I have always like this kit...nice work.
  17. Michael.... I like the old school trucks myself 50s-70s era ones. I have backdated engines to have the old side mounted blower on them...added the old spoke wheels in place of the chrome or aluminum wheels...added wires and brake hoses,etc... from dual axle rears to single axle. One can build one into anything they like or want to..its totally up to you.
  18. Welcome Thomas..! I use to restore and build cars now I just do the scale ones...LOL...
  19. I like it...very cool and realistic looking.
  20. id love to find kits at those prices let a lone older ones. I get stuff for a group of guys I help to build when I can...your lucky to have the inside track on these.
  21. I like the look of the spokes...I like the old school look of them. The old re-issued Diamond REO truck has them...its a sweet kit.
