I have what is left of my dads oldies thankfully...someday Ill get them all restored/repaired once I am able to find the parts they need. In the end they and mine will go to others so there around for a long time to come. Before any go into a dumpster they would have a good home here...too many just toss them out...I look at it as saving some plastic history if nothing else.

I once owned a mid 70s Dodge custom van....love to build a replica of it if I could find the right one.

Pretty dang cool..! I love the accessories the kits came with...figures,tools,shop equipment,bikes,motorcycles,dirt bikes,internal engine parts....

Everyone hopes others will like their builds but in the end the only thing that matters is if the build made one happy far as I am concerned....its great to get compliments and good hearted criticizem it helps us all learn how to build better and share easier ways of building or modifying a build. I learn something new almost every day.

Yep...mine will stay in the family and a few will go to good friends....just kills me when no one in a family cares or wants them or? and just tosses them out when they could make someone else happy and have a memento.

Johnathan buddy.... Hang in there...I cant imagine how it is for you but have friends that do. I am glad you build its great therapy for the body and mind buddy...without it Id be...? You are always in my prayers.

Sounds cool to me...and yes chrome has its place some trucks just do not look right without it...IH 4300 for instance. Everyone has their building style for a certain kit and that is what makes everyone here look at the others builds and projects...nothing wrong intended with my comments I am just an old school truck builder guy I like the ones that are just brute force workhorses. I can appreciate the new tech trucks for what has been done with them. I too build with a very very small budget if one at all...LOL... Ether way I like your build.

Anything free is always good...I have seen some real ones with roofs like that.

I know that feeling Kevin...model poor environment lives here too...I have some of my dads but just cant find parts for them... Ray...yes it does buddy...there is always someone else out there much less fortunate than us even though we might not have much ourselves...good deeds are always rewarded.

Welcome... ....not all good builds have to be shinny to be good...I like them.

I am a fan of the spokes wheels too...never needed all the flash of loads of chrome I like the old utilitarian look.

I never got to build a 1 to 1 scale of a model but have built a few of the ones the family owned...be nice to find and afford others of them to have for the memories.

If I remember right the 72 Blazer kit has the hubs on the front rims...probably going to be the closest you will find.

I loved these combo kits as a kid...still do...we need these.... I had these back then... 70s Ford Modified race team set 70s Red Alert drag team set 70s Aqua Rod set I too would like to build/find some campers.

Actually the only dumb questions are the ones that are not asked...one can not learn some things without asking...I still learn something new almost every day.
