On old promos I just keep polishing it till I have the luster I am looking for....always works for me.

I like the little Vegas too....its going to be cool to see done...

Lee the roof from the Monogram 66 is wider than the 65 by AMT it fits many 1/24rths well....being a wagon nut myself I have tried this a few times with decent results. Now if we can just convince the companies to make more vary late 50s through 70s wagons for us....

Tom...My condolences to your wife buddy. That reminds me it seems people get rewarded by their employers to mess up for some reason....when I worked if you so much as farted out of tune you were history. I guess some people have to steal and some just cant take any pride in their work ether...future looks great thinking of this huh?

Thanks Carl...it was a huge bummer for the guys....all they would have had to do is ask for one but I imagine they had no clue to what was in the box anyway...just a thief. At least now the mail people know what to do if its too big for the lock box. Here most ups,fed-x,etc. will just drop the box and knock on the door and walk back to their truck for the most part but I am usually home too.

Andy...I grew up with these in the family...think there some of the most beautiful and classy cars ever made.

Its enough when the builder is happy with it even though we always strive to do better...sometimes less is more.

Welcome Mark!... Build as you feel it should be it only has to make you happy. I am into factory stock...2door,4door,wagons,vans,pickups,campers,semi,trailers,farm/construction,speed/pleasure boats and a few dioramas of the very late 50s through mid 80s body styles.

When I started the disabled builders group here for a bunch of guys it was hard and it was but it got easier as time went by...now only issue is keeping it going I have been trying to fund it by myself other than for a few donations from our plastic brothers here and there. To put salt in the wound a large box of kits were delivered here but someone stole the box it was too big to fit into my lock mail box...postal person has directions where to put them now if there too big.

I like the idea of the CF rig myself....old school trucks rule.

I have what is left of the 65 Mercury ....nice finds.

Here common sense and manners lack as well...the no one else on the face of the planet thing.

Everything....cost,availability in my area,my hands ability.

Wish our hobby lobby was worth something....I might see those in about a year if they ever show up here.

I don't mind the old style chassis at all but when the body is warped to the point one wonders if the factory had a fire nearby....its just parts.
