  1. Anything 1960s to mid 70s body style. Wagons,4doors,big full bodied cars.
  2. Hi Jim... I have had it happen too like a lot of us here-I just sit back and think about it for awhile...eventually it will come to you in time. Sometimes to just sit back and look at it from a distance gives you a different perspective of the problem at hand.
  3. Its for sure a Monogram Cuda funny car but cant remember what issue had the blue tinted glass???
  4. Reminds me I need to get some bumpers/grille for my 55 Pontiac Star Chief by Johan, only problem is now you have me wanting to do that too
  5. Cool old box art!...love looking at those old boxes. I use them for storage and wall paper but never cut them up to do it....you take the bottom of the box and push a push pin tack through into the wall and just set the box top on. Makes sweet wall paper or a border around the rooms walls!
  6. I know that feeling Robert, Were I live its a 125 mile ride one way to a hobby shop too. Al we have is a hobby lobby that gets next to nothing unless your a military or ship builder? At least I can get paints there.
  7. I like it...looks good so far there
  8. Hi George!.... HAPPY BIRTHDAY !
  9. That is just SWEET!!!!!!! Great work on it!
  10. Always love to see wagons....looking good there Rob.
  11. Take care Terry... Ive been there too with several blood clots in my lungs after my accident and surgeries...do everything they say to and you will be better soon.
  12. My first real car was a 72 Oldsmobile Toronado....never got to build one like it yet.
  13. Looks good to me Marshall....Ive built many of the Snap fast plus kit AMT had out, with a little extra work they build nicely.
  14. I will have to say real.
  15. We have a Hobby Lobby too and it hardly ever gets anything in unless your looking for military,ships,die-cast items which most around here are not? Been that way for about a year or so now? At least one can still get paints there still. Bad thing is their the only game in town and for people on a tight budget kind of puts a damper on things...nearest real hobby shop is about 100 to 125 miles away haven't been there in years so?
  16. Congratulations Kevin..... I had the same thing happen once to me for my 69 Plymouth wagon I built, got second place ????? There were many cleaner builds than mine was and some really cool build ups.....only reason I entered was my uncle insisted on it till I gave in.
  17. So thats how that one gos together???? Reminds me of my first few models I built.
  18. Very Nice!!!!! Been looking for parts for mine great to hear someone might make them again.
  19. You can count on it from us...have faith. Mark
  20. Hang in there Ed... fight it and have the right attitude you will beat it. PS...I am on Medicare too my friend. Take care. Mark
  21. Hi Rick... Brake fluid is a good choice to use it wont harm the plastic but will remove chrome plating. Another option is to use Castrol Super Clean de-greaser straight...it will dull the finish of the plastic some but dose remove old paint well. You dont want to let it dry on the parts and it can be hard on glass and taillights as well as for your hands so you will want to use gloves when working with it. after the old paint becomes loose carefully use a tooth brush to lightly scrub the old paint away. repeat till the body or parts are clean of all paint and wash with warm soapy water to remove any residue left by the cleaners or oils. Let air dry and your ready to start over to painting it. I use them both to clean mine it seems if one wont work the other will in time. You do have to be careful with Lacquer paints...some will etch the plastic parts so a good primer is always recommended before painting a Lacquer on plastics.
