disabled modeler replied to unclescott58's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
same here Scott..thanks for the good memories. Very cool ads. -
Me too Casey....id think it would be fairly easy for them to re-issue the kit beings they have been re-issuing the same basic kit under the other ones...? You know they would be good sellers for the company.

NICE work...I like it very realistic. I have an old MPC 68 Charger and a 69 promo I need to restore once I find what they both need. Great weathering job..!

Thank you Mathew.... I think it would be a blast to build the Conventional KW just to see how much added detail I could put into one. LOL..I owned a 75 Trans Am once and a few others fell in love with them. I hear you on the losses buddy...we had that tornado and many got lost and damaged...was a rough time

id restore it if it were mine Snake....promos are little pieces of time and history to me. I have this one but the roof and glass are missing other than for that it would have been perfect...shame. I like the Toronado cars myself..my first 1 to 1 car was a 72 great car.

Welcome Richard..! I will keep you in my thoughts, etc. on the transplant. I deal with a long list of health issues too its no fun...but building helps keep my mind off it some. I like some of the Train stuff there great for dioramas, etc. Monogram made an old Mack truck about the right year once...you might be able to find one but it will be 1/24rth scale. Cool old trucks. I never could figure out what train scale matches 1/25th or 1/24rth scale models good enough. -
Nice..! There are some great shop diorama items in there.

Signs of getting old...... at modeling
disabled modeler replied to rel14's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
LOL...! Now that is funny but I can relate to some of it myself. My drive to build has never fell any over the years...it just changed my building style some. if anything it has expanded I have interest in trying out the larger scale kits as well now mostly to see just how much added detail I can put into one....for that the bigger the better...more opportunity for it. -
Welcome Ronnie...! Nice builds.

Welcome Robert..! I am a 60s to mid 70s guy...long big bodied cars are classy...LOL
-
Carl... I agree with Paul. On another note the best building advise anyone ever gave me is to treat every part as if it were a model itself and building is no race...build on your own time.
