  1. Great news Vince buddy...!
  2. Welcome Randy..! The 60s to mid 70s were a great time for models...love them.
  3. Yep Dave and it really ran too for a big heavy car...cool old cars but one of my favorites we had by Dodge was the Aspen R/T we had..Id love to build a replica of it.
  4. Cool...! Too bad its not like the one we had....round headlamp car black/tan interior with a 360ci
  5. Dave...just take your time doing it and it will come out for you. When I scribe lines I go very lightly and take a long time to do it....patience and determination is the key.
  6. Dave....Try it with somewhat numb fingers....LOL..! I have nerve damage it can make building interesting.
  7. Welcome Ian...! The 60s were my favorite kit era they made some really nice stuff back then. I am into the 60s to mid 70s body style stuff. Best advise anyone ever gave me on building is... Treat every part as if it were a model itself and building is no race build at your own speed.
  8. I have used layers of pinstripe tape to help me get the lines more straight before...it helps Dave.
  9. Is there a local vets home around your area...? You could contact them if you have one like we do here.
  10. Dave...That is cool. I thought they made a promo of one once...??? Id like to make a Aspen R/T...it was one of the cars we owned once...ours was a 360ci..? with a 4 speed...nice...!
  11. Dave...I have to try and make one too but you know why already....sorry about your search for a Dodge Aspen...I have wanted to make a replica of a Aspen R/T for some time now.
  12. I am going to have to get a hold of one of those chrome makers to try out....might be just the thing for aged worn bumpers, etc.
  13. Nice..! The weathering on your shop equipment is very nice and realistic.
  14. Mike...I agree completely. I help some guys too....nice comic strip too...LOL..
  15. Dave... that is a bummer. I like the Bajha Beast kit...its a fun build.
  16. That is a nice thought Mike. I did not see the Lotus submarine car kit....like to have one of those as well. I have a old movie give away that they gave out back in the 70s at our local theater of 2 scale 007 James Bond figures in a package of Roger Moore that are about 1/25th.
  17. Funny thing is...both my project and my real one need beds...LOL... not much left of my real trucks bed and the truck only has 57,000. miles on it.
  18. My truck is a 84 Chevy 1/2 ton 4x4 long bed....I need one of those beds...LOL.. Then I can make a replica of it too...mine is medium metallic blue.
  19. Me too....I want to build a highway diorama with one and scale figures but would be from the first movie. The 4 door police MFP car would be cool too.
  20. Pat....Id like to build some machines like those...may not have the skills to though. My future diorama project is of a 60s gas station with full service repair shop I hope....use to work at one.
  21. Very cool James....looks like a 1 to 1 barn find.
  22. Pat.... I am loving the shop equipment and engines being worked on...very very cool...!
  23. I understand that one Dave...been looking for parts to make mine for years now. Dont forget the rear doors rear facing wing windows on it...your making great progress with it. I still have to find a few parts for my project yet... bed...gate and Dodge gate decal.. bumpers...taillights and trim for them...long bed 2wd chassis...grille...bench seat interior tub and 3/4 ton wheels and tires so I have a long way to go yet.
