    Yep Tommy its the first clue on it....promos do not have a engine they have a engine plate or molded into the chassis. I love restoring promos and old models its a great sense of accomplishment to see them come back to what they should be like.

    Michelle... I know exactly what you mean on that one...I am also on a very small disability income...makes everything hard. Its cool you have a friend that will do that for you to help out.

    Rob... LOL...I understand that one. I also will find something strange or different that spikes my interest to build it.... cars...2door...4door...wagons..hearses..promos..curbsides, vans...stock...custom...etc., Pickups, Big trucks, trailers, campers, speed/pleasure boats, motorcycles, lawn mowers, farm/construction related, show rods, some customs, dioramas, etc...enough huh..?...LOL..

    Welcome Rob....! I started building with my dad too...great memories of those days. Now I have his old models and promos I am restoring. Nice looking projects...me I am a automotive related builder mostly.

    I dig about any of the Johan promos or promo kits...I like their snaps too...maybe someday Ill score a few I have been wanting.

    There were many shows that used trucks like this...think you might be right. Could make a cool...lunch wagon...tool truck...mail truck...fire rescue truck..etc. Me I want to find camper trailers and motor homes in scale for some project ideas I have.

    Robert...My late uncle was a AMC guy...been looking for a few to make replicas of the ones he owned...some were real beasts.

    I have had a large diorama planed for many years been collecting items for it over the years...now just have to find a MRC gas station kit and a few others things for it before i can start..it will be my first one.

    Man that is a bummer...I love restoring old promos and collecting them. Far as I know there is no cure for the old body I have some like that myself. I have a 61 Kit buildup I am trying to restore it was heavily customized sadly.

    NICE find on the Torino kit...I love that series they made. Been after the AMX one for years.
