The New A-Team!
Jeff Sauber replied to Custom Hearse's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Like I said, it wasn't real graphic and bloody, but there are scenes and episodes where you clearly see the guys getting shot and dropping to the ground and such. There are also scenes where dead victims are breifly shown laying around and whatnot....Sometimes there were small amounts of "stage blood" on the victims...It depended on the episodes... Trust me, I'm a detail freak, I notice these things.....lol. -

The death scenes weren't real graphic or a major focus with the details, but there was death and killing on the show.....Sheeesh, go rewatch a few episodes....It's on every night here at 10:00 pm on the retro tv network. On the episode last night, they found the cheif's wife's body in the trunk of a car in the supermarket parking lot.....Dennis was assigned to the case as he was preparing to become a luetenant.....Chapman gave him the folder and said this case was his....Later in the show, one of the guys Jim was talking to, got shot through the balcony window by a young Ed Harris..... Need anymore convincing? -

Mr. T has had a bout with luekemia, and has had some other health related issues. He's lost alot of size and muscle, and just doesn't have the hard, tough, look anymore. He just wouldn,t make a very good brawler as he has not aged all that well.....I think he has been replaced by UFC fighter Quinton "Rampage" Jackson..... -

Thats not exactly true.....One guy had their face blown off, Angel Martin saw the body through a door window.. Jim often found victims dead, such as a guy in bath tub and another hanging from the ceiling....Another guy was shot dead as he ran out of the airport onto the service tarmac, and jim shot a guy dead out of an airplane in a hanger, trying to protect Dennis Becker... Another guy was shot dead by Dennis at the race track when he tried to shoot at Jim first...Jim also killed a guy, as he sent his motorcycle off the cliff by sneaking up behind him and throwing the bike into gear as the rider was unaware. There was alot of death related stuff on that show....I could go on, but I think you get the idea. -
Swearing And Name Calling On The Board
Jeff Sauber replied to Gregg's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I agree Harry.....It's a very difficult situation to balance........ Boy, I sure don't envy your position as a moderator here, and being stuck in the middle of both sides of the fence. I think your doing all you can do as a decent moderator who doesn't want to have to start drawing out your service weapon and really going to town on the bad guys, and ruling with an iron fist.......It's a tough call and I wish you all the best. -
Swearing And Name Calling On The Board

I have never seen that rule really enforced....Believe it or not, there are some folks here who have real big problems with that rule. They fight it tooth and nail, yet they are still here posting away, and running about the place unrestricted and unbanned like a pack of rats around the dumpsters. If the rules are really going to be tightened up firmly, then it's likely neccesary to get more heavy-fisted moderators and to basically add more police officers to the force.... It's sort of a double edged sword.... If you want tough rules and restrcitions enforced to the max, then it's enevitable that your going to lose some freedom to manuever around as smoothly, and some folks are going to get in an uproar....It's tough to have your cake just right, and eat it at the same time. -

That's a risky question you have there........If it's all spelled out in concrete, there's certainly going to be some folks up in arms about whats offensive and what is not...Definitely a loaded question in a sense. Besides, with the filters in place, all the typical four letter words are blocked anyways...It would be a bit annoying however if every imaginable controversial word was sensored and your posts ended up looking like this: Can you imagine reading this ####### and trying to sort through all this #########, and how ###########, and a real ###### in the ##### it would be to have all this ##### completely, and utterly,########### sensored? in any ########### and all############.......lol. But yeah, in all seriousness, I understand what your asking, Chris. -

Jeff Sauber replied to Irvin Arter Jr.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks a bunch man, I really appreciate it... I'm putting together an album of scale customs this year, and I just had to get a few images of that '50 caddy .........My lord, that car is pretty!! I see what you mean about the blue paint outside. Funny how the colors change like that in natural light. Have you shown that car over on the Trak forum, yet? -

Thanks a bunch for the compliments John, You can certainly build up some mean quarter mile machines yourself... I really like that allison powered Mustang funny car you have over on the Pro-Tech site. You must have some serious hours invested in that one. Fantastic work!!
-
Not my cup of tea Kustom, but the craftsmanship is superb....How did it not place?....seems weird. I smell a fix!!.....LOL Seriously man, that's some nice building skills you have there....great pics as well.
-
Wow!! thats a very slick ride, and clean build!! I like the aggressive stance, Very nice work.....

Yes, the tank was made from sheet aluminum...I agree on the front tires having inaccurate engraving, but at least it was a good exercise in dry-brushing techniques.... With the body in place you don't really see the "frontrunner" letters that well.......lol.

It's 1/25 scale...It's the top sportsman Revell kit from the early 90's. I modified it a bunch to try and capture the 1:1 race car the way it looked in 2004-2006 when it switched to pro mod racing. There's a few differences, but it's close enough for me.

Just wanted to post this car in the right category. Finished it up this past fall/early winter.....Based on the Revell kit, with tons of modifications and scratchbuilding.
-
It'll just come up again in another thread........ It's like waiting for the bus......Miss one, and another one will be along shortly thereafter.
-
It's a general discussion thread in disguise...We seem to have a little of everything going on here. It's a well balanced meal of entertainment......FDA approved.....LOL.

"Lugnuts and Zipper".........You guys sound like a tag-team duo, throwing poor old George around the ring, and clubbing him over the head with steel folding chairs..........
-
Dang man, you must have stirred up a hornets nest over on that other forum.....First it was "Lugnuts" and now it's some guy called "Cecil" or "Zipper"...?
-
Face it Mark, your just going to have to start posting your work........theres no longer anyway out of it..............Pics or fail!!.......
