Thank you guys! This is an excellent kit to build! Even changing the engine and transmission was easy and well worth it! I get tired of seeing the same kit with the same engine and transmission all the time!

The Story McNally walks back down to the front desk at Boston Police Headquarters to turn in his badge. Det. Darvell approaches him before he turns the badge in and asks if he could talk to him. They walk over to a far corner of the lobby and Darvell says he is just doing his job and he is trying to shake any and all information out of whoever he talks to. McNally says that Darvell needs to relearn how to talk to suspects and people in general. All he is doing is getting people mad at him and not doing his cases any good. He tells Darvell that he needs to relearn investigative techniques and to start over again. Darvell listens to McNally and he says he is sorry for the trouble he has caused. He turns and walks away and McNally suspects that Darvell will not bother relearning anything and continue on irritating anybody he talks to. The Build I started final assembly of the Jaguar XK-E Cabriolet by adding the front bumpers and grille. I work on the rear of the Jag later and then do a polishing of the body which has a lot of fingerprints, especially on the hood.

I have finished my '70 'Cuda 440+6 and it is posted in Under Glass. My thanks to those who have viewed and commented on my WIP.
-
This is my '70 'Cuda 440+6 painted with Testors Hemi Orange (Tor-red) with a tan interior, wired 440 CID 6 Barrel engine with a TorqueFlite 3-speed automatic trans, Magnum 500 wheels, decals by Keith Marks Graphics, dual scoop hood and AMT Goodyear White Lettered Tires.
-
Thanks Gene, Carl and Steve!
-
I think I am assembling this 'Cuda in the wrong order as it is fighting me. My fumble fingers have lost both of the driving light lenses, but I was able to find some replacements in the parts box. They are not exact, but they'll do.
-
The white interior is correct for a stock 'Cuda with just the seats being white and everything else is black. The 'Cuda is a little shorter than the Challenger which had a longer wheelbase. Even the newer Challenger has a longer wheelbase than the '70 'Cuda. You would have to cut down the interior and the chassis and hope that everything fits.
-
I touched up the decals where they broke and then I clearcoated the body with Testors Ultra Gloss Clearcoat. Since I used the chrome bumpers on my previous 383 'Cuda, I opted for the body colored bumpers for this 'Cuda just to be different.

Thanks JT! I'm still figuring out some of the things about the 390 CID engine like hoses and such. I would like to add more detail to the engine. -
Absolute;y! That's the idea! Make the repair look natural and part of the model!
-
Thanks Adam!

Thanks Dann! I am trying to remember if the front turn signal lenses are frosted or fluted or not. I decided to add the dot of amber behind the lens to show something back there when someone looks.
-
Ok JR! If I didn't know better, I would say that you are building my '70 'Cuda 440+6! Looking good and, of course, it will be finished before mine!

Thanks Guido, Carl, Stephen and David! At this point, I'm going to hold back on my complaints about this kit. I am moving forward building this kit and it will be built mostly stock with a wired engine. -
The Story Darvell walks back into Homicide and he throws his coat over the back of his chair and he plops his fat body down in his chair with the springs protesting very loudly. Lt. Det. Troy sees him and he calls him into his office. Lt. Troy wants to know about the investigation of Johnny Wilson. Darvell tells Lt. Troy that he gathered very little evidence at the scene and that he had question McNally about the shooting. Lt. Troy wants to know why McNally was accused of the murder. Darvell says he was trying to shake loose any information out of the Boston PI. "You accused him of murder when he actually found the body. He didn't file a complaint, but he mentioned it to me. You will stop accusing him of every murder you investigate or I will turn this over to the Internal Affairs Bureau! Now, get out of my office and get back to work!" The Build I glued the front spindles to the upper A arms so they wouldn't fall out. The upper A arms are so weak they might break on me. I added the windshield and painted the side wings Tamiya Silver on the doors.

I haven't been working on this model for some time now and I decide that I have to finish it and get it off the bench. I finished the grille by adding the headlights and turn signals. I added the decals to the body after I clearcoated the body. I need to cleanup the stripes where they broke and clearcoat the body again.

The Story McNally tells the cops how he is searching for Rhonda Hawkins and shows them a picture of her and Off. Casey Westerfield says they will search for her as well between calls. McNally appreciates the extra help they can offer, even if it is a few minutes here and there. The two cops get another call and they must depart. McNally starts his search over again. The Build I finished the 390 CID engine this afternoon. I glued the fuel filter back on after wiring the engine and I added the air cleaner decal and a Fram decal to the oil filter. McNally will return... -

David, this truck will be more than a standard pickup. 390 CID V8, auto trans, fancy wheel covers, combination tu-tone paint job, Ranger package. More than a regular truck! -

Thanks Stephen and Guido! I've been sorting out the ignition wires for this engine. Still thinking about other wiring and hoses I might add. -

The Story It was getting late and McNally was hungry. He stops at a convience store and he grabs a sandwich and a cup of coffee. He drives back to the route that Rhonda walked daily and he stops to eat and think. Suddenly, bright lights illuminate the interior of his car and the places his hands on the steering wheel and he waits for a cop to come to his window. The cop asks why he is there and McNally identifies himself and he says he is working. He is told to get out of the car and he is searched with the cop finding his SIG Sauer P227 in his shoulder holster. The cop asks about the gun and McNally tells him about all the permits he has for it. The cop takes the permits and his drivers license and hands them to his partner and tells her to run his name through the computer. A couple of moments later and she comes back and says hi to McNally and that they had met last year when he bought her Jeep Grand Cherokee LTD V8 from her. McNally returns the greeting and he explains why he is there and what he is doing...searching for a missing person. The Build I painted and assembed more of the engine this afternoon. I got the wires installed on the distributor and will wire the engine. I might plumb the engine a little with a fuel line from the fuel pump to the carburtor and a line from the PCV Valve. McNally will return... -
Thanks Dann! I needed something to help keep the tie rod strong. I used two pieces of tubing with one for the repair and one to match the repair. It worked out very well!

Land Rover Series III LWB

Both have their challenges. The Story PC Dunbarton drives out to the Burrows Farm and he knocks on the door. The door is answered by Angus and after a joyous greeting, the Constable asks to the whereabouts of McNally. The PC is directed to the field that McNally is working in and Dunbarton drives out to the field. He finds McNally and he asks for his help. A farmer was murdered not too far from the Burrows Farm and the PC doesn't know what to do. McNally advises for the PC to call local towns and the National Crime Agency for assistance. The PC says that this is the first murder that he is involved with and the first in the township in almost two hundred years and other than the Boston PI, he wasn't sure who to call. McNally tells the Constable to log all those he wants to talk to and everyone the victim knew. McNally asks that he be kept informed and he will be around to answer any questions from the PC. The Build I painted the chassis last week and let is dry completely. Now to detail paint some of the components and add the front shocks. McNally will return... -
The Story McNally decides to "break in" to Charles Dennett's house and look around. He searches Charles desk and he finds the box with his Smith & Wesson and a partial box of bullets. He takes the gun and a few bullets and he goes back to Boston Police Headquarters to have the gun tested by Forensics. He takes the gun back to Charles' house and he places in back in the draw with the few remaining bullets and he locks the desk and he leaves the house. The gun may have been used to kill Johnny Wilson. The Build Somehow the steering shaft broke and I figured out a way to re-secure it. I used 2 pieces of 3/32 tubing cut to equal lengths and inserted the shaft into the tubing and glued them in place and then I painted them.
