  1. Thank you, Gareth, R. Scott and David! Sometimes, it's the little details that make a big difference!
  2. Thanks guys! I thought the details and moldings were a little soft. Attachment points are not there. I'm not really a fan of these old kits that everyone says are really great!
  3. Thank you, David!
  4. The Story McNally leaves Jackie's "home" and he comes up with a way to draw Jackie and company out into the open. McNally suspects Jackie had Ronny killed and he was trying to muscle his way into Ronny's successful business. Now to pull him out. He calls his Confidential Informant Zachy and he asks if Zachy would be willing to set himself up as an informant and Zachy replies that he is willing just as long as McNally can guarantee his safety. McNally replies that he can and he wants Zachy to approach Jackie out at Ronny's business and offer him some info against Ronny and McNally. Zachy waits in the shadows of Bisson Automotive for Jackie to show. It's 11:00 PM and Jackie arrives in his Lincoln Mark III and he gets out if the Mark III and he sees Zachy standing by the side of the garage and he walks over to him. "You Zachy?" "Yep! Thanks for meeting me. You looking to take out McNally and take over this business?" "Ya. I'll give you $200 for that info," replies Jackie. "Ronny didn't have a will, so taking over his business will be easy. His lawyer is Jacob Durgen. If you talk with him, he'll put you into a will for Ronny." "What about McNally?" "Kill him and everything he is investigating, goes away." "Even the death of Ronny Bisson?" "Yep!" "Good. My taking him out is advantage for me!" The Build Detailing is complete and some assembly has been finished. McNally will return...

  6. Almost done! Here's the T-Bird with the interior added. A shot of the engine compartment and the T-Bird with the chassis installed. More Vega$ to come...
  7. Painted and clearcoated! I drilled a hole in the middle of the rear panel for the antenna. The interior is in place. More Vega$ to come...
  8. Thank you Carl and David!
  9. Thank you Randy! I had just noticed a piece had fallen off the rear bumper and a search under the bench found the missing piece. Now to remount that piece.
  10. Thanks Jonathan, Rickey and Geoff! I had noticed the exhaust and interior mounting as I was reading the instructions earlier. I was going to leave the exhaust off until after the interior was mounted to the frame. Thanks to all for the heads up!
  11. I need to start another project now like I need a hole in my head! So, this project will take a while as I go about gathering my paints and stuff for this build. This project also signals another case for McNally, Boston PI. This story is called, Harvest of Murder and it is a total work of fiction. The Build I am using Revell of Germany's Land Rover Series III LWB Kit #07047. I have been looking at paint colors trying to find a close match to the Land Rover Light Green without having to resort to ordering paint from overseas. The Story McNally journeys to the United Kingdom to help an old friend harvest his farm. A “vacation” in the UK is turned into a murder investigation with the local Constabulary seeking his help. The murder victim is a longtime resident who was always broke and McNally tries to find the killer with the help of the local Police who have no training in murder investigations. It was about 4:00 PM when the telephone rang at 157 Dardenvale Street, the home of McNally, Boston PI. McNally has just returned home from an early afternoon jog that took him over an hour to run and he had worked up a good sweat. He was also tired when he answered the phone. “This is McNally,” he says puffing slightly. “Mc! Its’ Angus Burrows calling you from the UK. How are you? I didn’t call you at a bad time, did I?” “No. I’m just back from a run. I’m well Angus! Long time, no hear! What is happening across the pond?” “I’m actually calling you from Westby Hospital in Liverpool. I have a case of bad heart angina and they had hospitalized me. I’ve got no one managing at the farm and I need some help with the workers.” “Are you asking me for my help?” “Yes. If you can. I know you can be busy with your detective business. But, I do need your help getting the workers organized and moving forward.” “Angus, I could use a small vacation and the farm at Alston-at-Harkness sounds like a good place to start. I’ll be over tomorrow or Friday. Okay?” “Thank you Mc. I truly appreciate your effort.” “Okay. I’ll see you tomorrow at the hospital. Bye Angus! “Bye Mc.” McNally will return...
  12. Thanks David! A lot of the old Crown Vics become taxis or cheap transportation to another owner. I see them all the time!
  13. Thank you Larry and Rob!
  14. The Story McNally leaves Bisson Automtive and he drives over to see Jackie Koepka. As he pulls into the curb in front of Jackie's residencein downtown Boston, he sees Jackie's pride and joy...the dark blue 1969 Lincoln Mark III sitting at the curb. McNally goes inside the foyer of Jackie's "home" and Jackie is in the kitchen making a pot of tomato sauce at the stove and he has no body guards around. "Jackie, just as I thought I would find you, getting ready to feed your face." "McNally, A living PI who should be dead. Whataya want?" "What's your interest in Bisson Automotive?" "Ronnie owes me some money. That's all," says Jackie. "A lot of money? What's his colateral?" "He owes me some money which I may not get back. Now get out," says Jackie picking up a shotgun next to his stove. "I'm leaving Jackie! See ya," and McNally leaves Jackie's "home". The Build I did some detailing before I reassemble the Crown Vic. McNally will return...
  15. This is my Tamiya Ford Mustang GT4. It is painted with Tamiya TS-4 German Grey with Tamiya TS-13 Gloss Clearcoat, wired, and decaled using the kit and tire decals from Slixx.
  16. I have finished my Ford Mustang GT4 and it is posted in Under Glass. I would like to thank all those who have viewed and commented on my WIP!
  17. Carl, I am sorry to hear of your misfortune. I hope you are still able to visit with us in the future. Hang in there!
  18. Thanks David! Clearcoat should help reduce the sparkle a little bit, but not a lot. Right now, it looks like bass boat metal flake!
  19. The Story McNally stops at Bisson Automotive and he talks to Ricky, Bobby, Jimmy and Frank about Ron and the people he knew. They recall a heavy man who had stopped by recently and he didn't look happy when he left the shop. McNally asks what his name was and they told him that the person was named Jackie Koepka and he drove around in a '69 Lincoln Mark III, a car that is in excellent condition. He knows who Jackie is and he wonders if Jackie is trying to move in on Bisson Automotive. The Build I got the Crown Victoria into several coats of Testors Icy Blue One Coat Lacquer. McNally will return...
  20. Thank you Dann! I appreciate the nice words!
  21. The decals are on and complete! Yes. I know I used the wrong decals for the front wing spoilers. I had issues with the correct decals and used these instead. A quick mockup and then cleanup, touchup and final assembly! More Mustang to come...
  22. I started the task of decaling the Mustang GT4 today. And, I have a long way to go. More Mustang to come...
  23. i have been detailing the Continental kit on this '57 T-Bird. Using a silver Sharpie, I highlighted the Thunderbird emblem on the spare tire cover. One of the things I found interesting was the ends of the stone tray were painted silver on the real Vega$ T-Bird. They are usually body color. I haven't been able to find any other pictures that show the Continental kit stone shield from above. I decided to paint the ends of the tray silver and will leave it at that. More Vega$ to come...
  24. Thanks Carl and Guido! Now it's on to Bare metal Foil, cleacoat and then assembly.
