    thanks guys , Robert this one ant the 59 chev yet to be built are both very good, very little cleanup, the windscreen was a little fussy to fit but I,m not sure I even had the right one to start with ( the amt base kit I used was just a box of random parts)

    F1 32

    Some of you may have seen this concept drawing floating around the net, if you havent, well a Kiwi designer wondered what a 32 Ford coupe would look like melded with a Formula 1 car. His concepts looked pretty cool, one in a nod to the old So Cal style and the other (the easy way)in blacks. I did change it up a little partially as I only had and older glue abused F1 car to start with and a severe lack of talent. I did actually make a full cage/cockpit which is almost impossable to see because that too is just shades of black this green wheel lip is haunting me, I swear I've painted the darn thing 5 times but it keeps showing up green
  9. its not quite done but our club is putting on a non judged show this weekend, so I'll finish the rack and couple of other things at a later date, but heres the what it looks like shots and lastly my favorite shot
  10. starting to look like a race car now electronic shock control box and remote shock controllers unfinished fuel cells and oil puke hoses
  11. chute cage, yes there is another bar up there red wire is for the fuel pump shut off, wired from front to back, and eventually cut to length air shifters placed as has the hand brake and fire suppression lines start of the dash mechanical fuel shut off
  12. been slack as, theres a whole heap of updates as I've tried a lot of new things on this, hopefully the pics will speak for themselves, if not just ask carbon fiber paneling working out the diff and 4 link

    Jimmy Flintstone resin on an amt 57 ford chassis with a 55 nomad tub, nail polish brown and a custom ivory mix of Dupont
  17. reassembled for a cousin who no longer liked the black it was molded in so I stripped it all back, repainted, foiled the chrome ,Tamiya bright Rattle can red with Tamiya pearl clear the 3 coats of Duplicolor clear
  18. Promised crazy Jim a couple years ago that I would build a shiny chopped Olds as the last one was satin Black. Took me a while Jim but here it is you will notice the spats are loose, I'm still undecided if I like them off or on, they do sit reasonably well in place but I must have knocked them when I too the pics
