  1. different engine mount/plate at front as blown doesnt need any water pump stuff ( the one from the L.A.P.D camaro) is perfect. fuel tank should always be mounted in front of the motor and no radiator is needed,
  2. Mitch, apart from the funnycars circa around 89/90 (somebody please speak up if the years are wrong) no other cars I'm aware of ever stepped down the pipes like that,Most blown alcohol car just use a 2 1/4 -2 1/2 inch tube for each pipe, so you really only need a single piece of rod and drillout the end. I always manage to crush the end using tube and although its a bit tedious drilling out the ends I didnt waste as much rod as I did tube trying to bend them. Bill the car looks great, did you get any further with it ?
  3. there's never a problem looking at work as clean as this buddy. specially when its a subject (or 2, pro modstyle and its a cuda ) that I like so much. Cant wait to see this in paint.
  4. Larry, the search engine is almost legendary in its failings on this site, but if thats the worst problem it has we're pretty well off. Make sure when using the search function at the top, you use the drop down menu from this topic, to forum before clicking search. If you go to a members profile you can search by all topics started by this member etc etc
  5. beautifully clean work Ron, the car looks great
  6. gorgeous work Charlie, maybe you should just display the body next to it
  7. this just might be my favourite of all your builds Bruce. very very cool mate
  8. mmmmmmmmmm pure hell camaro, love that car
  9. looks great from here mate, especially with the car on the back
  10. cool !! I'm going to repaint mine one day
  11. pulled the rocker covers and hat and alcladded them, been playing with paint along the way. Used the same effect on the red like the blue but it came out very ghosted (like ghost flames) so will have another attempt at the red before I call it quits
  12. everything is winged along as I go as I wasnt planning on detailing anything that didnt show outside the body on this one. Tried out a couple new things that worked quite well, had to change a couple of others, but reasonably happy with how its turning out
  13. cheers guys, got stuck into this again yesterday afternoon/ last night and today, Talk about a tight space to work in .......
  14. thanks guys, got the chassis primed and painted today. also got it installed on the tin, mucked around with wings and found one that I'll use, just gotta figure the best way of mounting it now. The chassis is a dark metallic purple not blue as the pics show
  15. Back of chassis and tin has been changed since this pic, all fits much better as this was a see if it looks ok last night pic
  16. Its being a long time coming but its back. I couldnt get a chassis where I was happy with the fit, last night dragged it back out and got stuck into it.Heavily modified Revel pro sportsman chassis and tin with a fair amount of scratch building going on as well. Got most of the fab work done on it tonight, made it almost modular so it can be taken apart for paint and slid back together when dry and ready to glue. you can see the holes in the firewall for the steering shaft and double frame rails to slide into. Little bit of tidy up on the last few joints then off to paint. Driver's gonna have to be pretty skinny but
  17. you know when I was finishing this I knew I had one last job to do. Couldnt for the life of me remember what it was doh Thanks Anthony, I'll fix that before it goes in the cabinet tomorrow Thanks guys
  18. you've nothing to feel funny about mate. it looks pretty good from here, try using a little bit of wet 2000 grit on your overspray/ tapebleed marks (though they still show a little on mine as well). Its not the easiest car to paint.
  19. Thanks guys, Lee, they came with the kit, wanted a daily driver, sat night racer feel for it hence sticking with the centerlines and traction bars
  20. lowered the front by moving the spindles further up and added plug wires, Seems to be a very close tolerance to the hood on this one so distributor was mounted a little lower than the directions called for and even then the hood seems to have pushed it over a little.Other than the fact I hate decals (hood ones are not great) pretty happy with it. Red is a DuPont base coat that I tinted a little darker so no code I'm sorry. little touchup on grille is done now grrrr
  21. Thanks again, I apologize Terry if I came across a bit short with my reply, Anyways it is done pretty happy with my alclad on the hat
