  1. How cool is that? Me likey full size Bowties
  2. Another great '55 Ron, love it!
  3. Cool project Bill Maybe the AMT '61 Ford windshield would fit?
  4. Very cool Ron! If you can't have the 1:1 back, at least you have the 1/25 scale version to taunt you
  5. I agree Bob... I don't even bother selling kits with an auction format anymore, I list with a 'Buy it Now' as I don't care about the drama of bidding wars, just buy it already! I will bid on an auction that has a reserve, if my MAX bid doesn't meet the seller's reserve, then I really don't need the kit that bad, another will come along...
  6. NICE build!!!
  7. Ooooh, very nicely built! Me likey Berettas
  8. SWEEEET build Ray!
  9. Nice work John, wrinkles or not! Hope to join in next year's 24 hour build, I've missed the last two
  10. Oooh Billy, blue # 3 looks TASTY to me
  11. Underbody being fully painted blue (glossy or not) sounds good to me also. Glad this is moving along, can't wait to get my hands on the interior
  12. NICE Danny!!! I'll be ordering a few sets when available
  13. Would that be Mr. Raab? Alan does great work, wish he did this full-time... Back to your Lincoln though, why couldn't say ten guys split the $299 so at $30 your investment would be minimal. Disassemble & make enough changes to the body and associated parts as to not infringe on the model manufacturers rights, and have someone like Alan add it to their catalog. Very doable!
  14. Al, my post wasn't meant as a smart aleck remark. A lot of quality resin assembly kits have their origins in diecast models. A 1:1 like this will probably never be produced as a styrene kit, so this is a viable alternative. Sorry if you took it that way.
  15. Cool car... Why don't you Lincoln enthusiasts get together (and your $$$) & buy one. Disassemble, & master it for resin casting. Done, then you can ALL have one to BUILD!
  16. Just about anywhere...Walmart, Home Depot, Office supply stores, etc. Dollar stores probably have it too, albeit a no-name brand that may or may not work as well. And yes, it is reuseable. After use, I pull it back off of the toothpicks or popsicle sticks and knead it to move the dried paint around, keeping it tacky. After many uses, I toss it & use fresh, it's cheap
  17. I use a foam block as a base. Toothpicks with a blob of Fun-Tak putty hold the prepped parts firmly without damaging the part. Removes cleanly...
