  1. I agree Jim & Skip...these just aren't working for me either. Thanks Bryan, hope it doesn't stall out because of design direction (or lack thereof) Thank you Mike for the pic...very cool, but I'm not sure yet Here's what it looks like with '40 Ford headlights:
  2. Here it is with the '37 teardrop headlights upside-down...better or worse???
  3. Great...more of my hard earned $$$ going to Walmart Thanks for posting!!! Gotta pic of the '66 that came with it???
  4. Those are ALL really well done!!! I'll bet they look great flying down the track too!
  5. Here's Peter Lombardo's creation thread: http://www.modelcars...c=30835&hl=deco I did try them upside-down originally to better flow with the nose's shape (can't remember how they looked ), but I'll flip them again & repost. Thanks Rich! Yeah, I'm going to play around more with different parts. It looks a bit "pig-nosed" to me, so I think you're right about laying back the hood/grill area. Maybe I'll back-fill the shell up front & reshape...
  6. OK, I can't resist tinkering with this thing... Drew some rough lines on it to see what looks best. I think I may do "pocket doors" as shown. Yes? Does it fight the other body lines? Keep in mind the recessed lines there now are how Mr. Lombardo carved the buck originally, as a four-door. I just don't want to make any cuts or fill any lines until its right. I'd like to have panel lines on it just as a 1:1 in steel or aluminum would...could NEVER pull of that expanse of real estate without some separate panels! Yet another set of wheels. These kinda look classy, but "large diameter modern" I think... Tried some '37 Ford headlights on it for fun. Do they work, or should I try some other things? With a grille of some sort, that will change the look completely up front. I think vertical is the way to go here.
  7. Cooool! Can't wait until I'm a senior citizen to be able to take advantage of programs like that! JK
  8. Now THAT is cool! Very nicely finished!
  9. The problem is that kits are ADVERTISED as 1/24 or 1/25, but they don't always measure up...and a kit's dimensions may measure out to 1/24 in one area (say the body shell), and 1/25 (say the engine) in another...or 1/23...or 1/26...ALL within the same kit's box!!! I buy both scales, you sure limit your subjects by sticking with one or the other...
  10. Great job on this, cool kit!
  11. SWEEEET Gassers!
  12. NICE!!!
  13. Another GREAT VW!!! VERY realistic "bare steel" look and overall weathering!

WOW!!! Very cool Eero! Those must be "magic" mushrooms, man!
  15. Very cool, nicely built! Bob, those particular rims come WITH the spinners, so go get a set (or two ) Love this Vette!
  16. Chris, any input from willing casters yet???
  17. VERY nicely done!!!
  18. Have you been tinkering with the Workstar at all Dave???
  19. Ooooh, I like that one! Nice job!
  20. I know, I've got one in the driveway...what a waste of a former GOOD carburetor
  21. Very nice as usual Donn!!! Hope to check it out at Castle Shannon
  22. Chris, if you have any reservations about making 4X4/offroad parts, please take a peek at our offroad model specific site: http://www.offroadmodels.proboards.com/ Us offroad builders have a substantial list of aftermarket parts we seek, and a few casters such as Alan @ Ma's resin, Casey himself, and Steve Perry (not the Journey singer ) have stepped up & provided us with some specific parts, but we need MORE!!! Not to discourage, but Steve already has some D44 stuff and a NP205 case: http://hstrial-calnagacastings.homestead.com/Store.html Let me know if you have any questions, we've done some polling on ORM to see what's wanted/needed from the aftermarket!
  23. Chris, the one you saw on eBay was probably from RMR, I've never seen any others: http://www.freewebs.com/rmrresin/nf125.htm They are still available from Ron as far as I know. Here's the conversion thread for my -8: http://www.offroadmodels.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=others&action=display&thread=71 Only six kits were cast from the first body master, none were sold. I'm in the process (stalled) of "remastering" for better "castability" (is that a word? ). Hopefully soon, life's been getting in the way... PM me if you have any other questions.
  24. Pedal car? Horse drawn plow? Old hand pump?
