  1. Yes, great save! Saving someones old model cars is fun! But to Scout, I enjoy very much, this is very good looking paintjob is very good, engine detailing, Good Year text on the tires chassis parts and tires... They all are made very nicely, like this!
  2. Both ones are very nice! But however, I prefer that '59 Impala (very big suprise! ). Paintjobs are very nice ones too!
  3. Again one piece of art, I would say! That painjob is fantastic. Usually I don't like Low Riders as much as other building styles, exept pro touring but this one is very nice, engine is a bit simple without any detail wires, plug wires etc. But it's nice too, just like that!
  4. Good job with this! I'm not much into Rat Rods but this one is cool... Very good job, that rust looks like 1:1 and this looks very wild as Rat Rods suppose to be...!
  5. Great job on the modifications, car is looking very very nice just right now, when you paint the final colour on it, this car would look still better! Good job, I vote for redline tires, whitewall tires are so often used that redlines would be a good change... Keep on the good work!
  6. Good start! These MPC Firefighter Mustangs and Twister Vegas are quite bad kits... Very, very simple chassis, everything is moulded to one piece and those parts are not looking how they look on the 1:1 cars. But interior is quite good, parts fit and they are not so simple as chassis parts... Bodys are good ones, there are nothing to complain. But: These both cars have too small engine, now I'm not meaning cubic inches, I mean the size is too small! My Vega has a blower and big block Chevy but it fits almost like under the hood!!! On the 1:1 Skyhawk (both are H-Bodys and Skyhawk has performer manifold from Edelbrock, and a little aircleaner. It just fits under the hood... Vega has a blower and it comes just a few millimeters through the hood...! I would say, that changing engine would be a good idea...
  7. A little update to this, finally! I stretched rear wings with styrene and then put some bondo to them, they are a bit like a puzzle of 20 litlle pieces, but after glue and bondo they fit quite well... It wasn't easy, but I did it and thats good. After wings, I built visors to headlights from narrow piece of styrene. Now they are under bondo, but sandpaper will turn it out very nicely, I think... I made a windscreen visor (?) from styrene too, it's quite good too. That part was easy to do. The last thing was stretched rear bumber (tell me what that is in enghlish correctly, please!) from styrene and continental kit is from '58 Impala. Rear bumber is just put on the place, I change it when I find another one. Tell me what you think about the body lines and tips and tricks are welcome!
  8. Same thing, as Marcos said, don't like those wheels, 15'' Centerlines would be better ones... But car is nice, and with your building skills, this will turn out very very nicely too big wheels or not! Keep on the good work!
  9. It's Edsel, one of my favourite cars, rusted! No, that is very nice model, that rust looks like 1:1, very good looking body on it. Engine is a bit of simple, those cylinder heads aren't looking like real 1:1 parts... Plug wires are took of, to make that thing easier, or is that engine running? If it is running, then plug wires would be good ones, but if engine is shut down, then its good just like this exept cylinder heads... But good job you did all the way! Oh, and that timing chane thing is very good idea and after cover removed, it looks very 1:1, so very good job on it, bolt holes are just more plus points!
  10. This turned out nice! It's a bit like Shelby Cobra, I think... Very nice paintjob and those stripes are perfect, I like that Cunningham badge on the hood too! This is very nice all over, I like this kind of racecars too so this is awesome!
  11. WOW, huh, I almost jumped through the sealing! This is awesome model car, X-Frame Chevys are so nice ones, so I like this very much! Paintjob looks great and smooth, nice engine and decals, very good choice and they fit perfectly... Everything is very nicely done, I like it!!!!
  12. Looking very nice so far! Very nice stance and those tires and wheels are just perfect choice to this... I'll be watching this one!
  13. Exellent job on this!!! Very, very realistic and great conversion. It looks like '59 Ranchero and it looks also like straight from the factory... Good paintjob on it and engine detailing is very good too, bodywork is always hard to do but you did it perfectly! Great job, keep these coming!
  14. It's very nice to see that engine. It looks very good and detailing looks nice. Good stance, I like it!
  15. Nice job with chopping a top you did! That's not so easy as it looks like, I chopped '49 Mercury, and it was everything but easy...! But back to your nice build, I think those lake pipes are just perfect choice to it, where are they from...?
  16. Thank you all. Evilone, that floor is a bit greasy, it doesn't come out from that picture so well... But yes, good ideas maybe I build another some day...
  17. Yes, Risto has very good car. But be careful with Timo Lehtimäki, he is very hard to win! In Alastaro semifinal there was Lehtimäki against Erbacher. I said to dad that Lehtimäki can win Urs, one man in front of us said to me that Urs is european champion and and and.... After Timo took the win, he was quiet...!
  18. Thank you for the replies! I have an RC powerboat, it's a bit like Chriscraft and it goes well. And yes workbench is very good, ''Hi Tech'' I think. It was fun build, next time I win a car like this, I build it like same way!
  19. This is very nice model, one of the best ones I've seen for a while... That paintjob is perfect, flames and it's very smooth! Engine detailing is very good, interior is very nice and so on... Now I'm waiting your Nova project, start looks nice and I'll follow it!
  20. Well, that name is not perfect, because this diorama is completed. That name means that engine's work is in progress... Cylinder heads are new ones, new camshaft and so on... But thank you for your comment, Ed.
  21. I have been thinking of building a diorama, idea from garage has built many, many times but I had project engine from '66 Nova Pro Street so that was a good start for diorama... AMT has made quite bad cylinder heads to this 350'' engine. First I removed everything unnecessary. Then I glued small pieces of electric wire for bolts. Bolts are thin metal wire. I made valve springs from the same metal wire. I made a new damper from plastic tube, where I drilled a small hole. Floor is painted with Humbroll 56 where I painted Humbroll 53 on it and a bit of sand... Quite good, a few little parts and details, diorama was ready! Here is the original AMT and my version, any better...? And completed model: Let me know, what you think!
  22. Yes, I know, this is ugly car but I won Marui kit from Model-Expo, because I was the best junior in Stock with '65 Malibu Sedan, Street Rod with '29 Ford Rat Rod and Box Stock's the second place and best junior... Kit looks good from fast look, but it's everything but good... Interior is ok, the best part from this car. I would not build this at home, so I took this with me to summer cottage, where this was as bad as enough... I started from the body. Painted it with Maston white and then some clear on it. Interior is light brown, seat belt materials were included, this is a boxstock. Chassis is quite bad quality, it's possible to build this with batteries and motor. They are not included... Same thing with working lights. This was quite fast build, started on sunday afternoon and finished on tuesday. I had a bit problems with body parts but after all I got this ready. Now pictures: Who says that he has a better place to build...? And place, where I was taking pictures: What you think?
  23. I can post more pics from Andy ''King Of Europe'' Carter's Top Fuel dragster if you want later today... Nice and interesting project, Carter was of course here at Alastaro but Risto Poutiainen from Finland beated him at the semifinal. (Poutiainen crashed with Stig Neergård on friday but on saturday he drove to number one qualifuyer and he were runner up...
  24. Very good job on it you did! Nice paintjob and that Sickfish is very good name for it. Nice job with the engine too! Great model!
  25. W-409

    59 El Camino

This is very nice El Camino. Nice paintjob, engine looks great, 348'' is very nice engine, but 409'' is better... But very good job all over!
