Because it would be too expensive to order that trans kit from Modelhaus, I designed to build that '73 rearend my self. First I took a bit of styrene, that will be the taillight panel. It's quite good now. Then I took saw on my hand and right now the rear bumber and '71 taillight panel are two different parts... I bit of sanding and bumber looks good to me. After that I drew new taillights to that panel, I made and that AMC-badge on the center will be piece of styrene...Maybe. But now I have a question. Do these Javelins had black taillight panel? How about that rear bumber upside...? Badly told, but maybe you guys can see, what I mean... This is what Jo-Han gives... Saw that taillight panel off from bumber. Made that piece of styrene also... And this is how it looks right now. I painted a few little details to engine. Transmission is painted with Humbroll Metallic #53 Comments are welcome as always...

Thank you, Jim! Now Shirley is ready to sit on AMX frontfender. Oh yeah, it's not ready jet so Shirley can sit on some other car. Anyway, I painted clothes with white, blue and red, as AMC colours are. I had to do some re-working on Shirley, the head was badly. I mean, Shirley saw only his feet, nothing else. Now the head is rightly in place and she's waving to the crowd. Hair is painted by my own mix. Comments welcome!

"Lil" John Lombardo " Spider" Camaro F/C
W-409 replied to John Teresi's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Awesome job as usual, John! Your models are looking great, it doesn't matter if they are new or old ones, I think. But this is something, you can't see every day, meaning '70 Camaro Funny Car. This paintjob is very beautiful, and smooth. Engine detailing is super as always, your models are very impressive and they give great ideas! Keep on posting these old models, and of course new models too! -
It looks like 1:25! Very nice job, paintjob is beautiful and colour is good. I like those stripes too, they give great look to this model. Those wheels are very good looking too, like those very much. Keep on the good work!

It's very nice, I don't like new cars... This body is not looking good, but model is built very nicely!!! That painjob is awesome and engine looks good only that cover made from plastic? is not nice. But it's on the 1:1 cars, I think. Am I wrong...? Don't know. But after all it's very nice model from retro Charger.

It's very nice, that weathering looks very good and with those pictures, this car looks 1:1 scale! Awesome job on this!
-
That's very nice! I think, those wheels are ugly, but it doesn't matter. Paintjob is beautiful, so shiney. Interior looks very good too. I would paint those upper side trims on the body. Engine is very nice, but those heather hoses are white!? Usually they are black and that piece what is connecting them would be painted by silver. Well, those are just little things, you are modeler who got some great talents, keep on building!

It's looking very nice. Like these old school style custom cars. Engine looks very good, nice detailing on it. But two things: Those exhaust pipes are very good ones, but I've ever seen they going like this. I'm not a fan of those, but they look cool at the same time... And the other thing, now one would just put his trophies to the bed without any rope to keep they in the place. Those are just little things, it's very, very nice model, those wheels and tires are looking awesome!

Welcome to the board, Nick! Your Mustang looks very nice, I don't like new cars usually but this one is cool! Awesome details on the engine and painjob looks very nice too! That chassis is looking very nice also. You are very good model builder, I think. For the next model, you would buy aftermarket plug wires, they give your model still better look, but those are very good too! Have nothing to complain.

That's very nice conversion! Good job, it's not a small thing to make Impala to pickup. I like those taillight, 'cause they are in different places than in original car. Paintjob looks very good too!
-
It's looking very very GREAT!!! Painjob is perfect and engine detailing is super as always. I have nothing to say, it's very nice!
-
Very good looking X-Frame Impala! Like those decals, something you can't see every day. Good job on the painjob it's shiney but specially those decals are perfectly into body shapes. Engine looks nice a little more detailing and it would be perfect. Nice whitewall tires and I like those Dog Dish hubcaps...

It's looking awesome! It's one of my favourite cars too. Engine detailing looks very good, painjob is very nice and I like that interior too. Slicks tires are looking good and here in Finland on the 80's were two Drag Race Buick Regals. They ran in Stock car category.

That's very nice. I think, it would be a bit lower than now, but it looks good with that ride height too. One mistake, I found: That another lake pipe is not correctly, it doesn't fit to other pipes... But engine detailing looks cool and painjob is very good, I think it's very nice!

Looks great! Like these one fifty series Chevrolets so much. Painjob looks very nice and that detailing on the engine is very good looking too. Inteior looks good, it's nice to see these wich are not black and white. Black Widow cars are nice but I don't like black and white '57 Chevys, where people says ''Oh yeah, it's black widow!''

It's very nice, engine has a good detailing, paintjob looks very nice. Good job!

It's nice. Like those rear tires and stance. Paintjob looks very good and engine is very nice. I think, it doesn't look like pro mod. Don't know how it is there is USA but maybe that would be a street car...? Anyway, maybe Outlaw 10,5 would be the best choice for race class... Please, could someone tell me, what is the deal with Outlaw 10,5. This looks like it, but I'm intrested, here in Europe, we drive a class called Outlaw. Index is 7,5 and cars are driving with no any handycaps, with pro tree.

Oh, looks awesome! That two tone colour is looking awesome and paintjob is looking perfect. Like that tubegrille and it has a great custom tough! Thank you, can't say anything about it, it's just too nice!!!
-
WOW!!! I really enjoy the pictures! Very nice conversion work, that crashed door looks amazing. Engine is looking like 1:1, engine looks autentic and that detailing is awesome! Interior looks very good and that chassis is very nice! Thank ypu for sharing this, keep these coming. You are pro builder.

Thank you, Charlie! Today I test fit that everything fits ok. It's good, here are pics from mock up. Now I'm trying to find four same- looking rear shocks. When I find them, I must find four same-looking to the frontend too.

There is very nice build, Cadillac is something, you can't see on the dragstrip every day! This one is nice, I dig that painjob and those details on it. Engine looks very good, nice detailing on it. Like this! Keep it going man!
-
Awesome job on Vega! Great pluspoint for using H-Body car! Exellent, that painjob looks perfect, decals are very nicely fit and engine detailing looks so nice. Frame, it looks very very good too! Keep these coming, please!

It's time for an update, finally! I glued engine to the frame, before that I drilled holes to the frame for exhaust pipes. I also drilled a hole to starter, that's for battery cable wich I glued to the place. It's almost inpossible to put it after body... Then I made that crossmember to the frame. Those vinyl tires are usually too shiney, this time I used 400 sandpaper for tracks and for the sides I used somekind of old polishing lab (is that correct?). I think, they are better now. I painted those wheels also. With white and then used little of black and silver to finishing toughes... I made those exhaust pipes from 3mm metal tubing. I have to build those heads for pipes later... Tires. Original is on the left and finished product is on the right. A bit better, I think... These wires are for generator. Feel free for comments.

Eldorado Funny Car...?! Haven't ever seen this before, but it looks very nice as always, Body opening from the back, very rare. But it's nice, great detailing as always and paintjob looks very nice too, so it's very nice model!!!

It's very nice! Usually I don't like ''flying future cars'', but this one is very good looking! Great conversion work with it this is unusual! Engine looks nice what I see from the picture and painjob looks very good too. It was very great to read that topic in ''On The Workbench'' section and now to look at those finished pictures. Thank yuo for sharing this one!
