Big Thanks, Everone! Well I wouldn't be sure about that - your work is really nice, too. But really, these internet forums have been a great help with new tips and tricks. And that's why I want to say a big thank you for everyone who has given me advice, tips and tricks or constructive criticism. That has probably helped the most. It might sound funny, because I'm still this young, but when I started building, we had no internet, and when we got one, it took me years to find FCMA (Finnish Car Modelers Association). Before that the only place I could get help from was from old V8 Magazines that is a Finnish American Car Magazine and Juha Airio is writing about Model Cars there. Other place where I got help was my dad. When I found these internet communities, the amount of information was incredible and my skills improved a lot in a short time, because I got lots of new techniques and a lot of advice. There's still a lot to learn, but now I try to help others when I can. Thanks Again, Everyone.

Nice build with great detail! I have the same kit, and I know it needs pretty much cleanup, filling ejector pin marks etc. You did a great job with this one. Nice color choice, too.

Thanks For The Kind Words! Chuck: Yep, I would do that, too. I would like to build at least one more Custom from this kit and of course there would be other possibilities, too. Actually it's the same thing with all Jo-Hans as I'd like to hoard them, too.

Thanks John and Brett! I appreciate the kind words. John: Why didn't I think about that! I have to go and pick some up, I'm actually going to visit one of my Local Hobby Shops tomorrow. I'll see if I can find Plastruct products from there. I know there's another shop selling them, so I should find one at least from there, if the first one doesn't have their stuff. I will paint the engine block and cylinder heads tomorrow. I was going to do it today, but I had a hurry day and all I could do was that little amount of work with Impala's Firewall.

Well just a little update. I was going to shoot some Primer on the firewall, but those huge holes for hood hinges didn't look very good to me. The car should have different kind of hinges so there would be no holes on 1:1 car. I'm not going to use any kind of hinges, but those holes just needed filling, so with some styrene I got them filled, and now all I need is a little putty and then I can go to the paint booth with that one.

Thanks Guys! It really means a lot! Jim: I knew you'd like the paint. This is the best paint job that I've done so far. I was trying some new techniques on polishing, and it worked out. Thanks Again, Everyone!

Ouch! Sorry to hear what happened to the Barracuda. But luckily you were able to save the grille, as it took a lot of work. I can't wait to see the Full Detail build of this one. Now just send the trashed body pieces to me. (Just Kidding)

That Firebird looks great to me! I like your paint job and decals fit perfectly, too. How does this kit go together? I've been planning to build one, as I've always been interested in '68-'69 Firebirds.

That looks great! I must have missed the original post, so I'm glad you re-posted it. Very nice work with all of the details, especially the engine looks very good. I like the paint and decals, too. Nice Job.

Thanks Fellas! John: Heh, that's funny . Here we go, a little update to you all... Walter: Yep, it's pretty easy way to do, especially if done a bit more carefully than I did. So that it could be built with less putty. Nick: Yes, their Slicks are really nice. I have '63 Impala Z11 project (Still waiting for a donor kit) and for that one I ordered one set of those tires. Anyway I just thought that I should order a pair of them to use in this Nova, too, as I'm doing other modifications as well and I don't want that kind of a little thing to be inaccurate. I did a test fit with them again, and they look actually pretty good, even if I first doubted it. Thomas: The drain plug will be added. I just need to figure out what should I use for that. I could of course order ready aftermarket parts, but they are pretty expensive. I just wonder if there was a good way to make one or where could I find something similar to that? Does anyone have a good idea? Well here we have a little update. Nothing special, but I got the oil pan painted. It's flat black spray paint by Maston and it lays down really nice and smooth. I also removed the orange paint from the engine, and shoot some Primer on it, too. Probably tomorrow I'll paint that flat black too so I could start the headers...

Well here's a minor update on this build. I got the B-Pillars, and trunk lid polished. I also polished the areas around trunk lid (Don't know how to say it better in English). I'll continue tomorrow and it'll probably take a couple of days to get the whole body polished. And a hood got some paint on it.

That's beautiful! Nice paint and decal work with this 'Stang. The subject is really interesting, too, these newer Stock or Super Stock Mustangs, Camaros or Challengers are nice cars in 1:1 too. I have the same decals and with them I'm trying to create a 2012 Mustang Super Stocker...

1957 Ford Custom Tudor (yes, another one)

Wow! That sure looks good! But to me the building speed is something that almost made my coffee to fly all over the room. About 30 hours ago you posted the first post and it says that you painted the body that morning. And a couple of hours ago it's already polished....Wow! I'm surprised how fast that Automotive Paint dried. In that time I couldn't even polish a body (Even if the paint was already dry). Great work! -

I don't know how I missed this one. Well I'm glad I found it now, since you did a great job! Very smooth paint and beautiful color. I also like the Cowl Induction scoop, and great wheel and tire choice, too. Great job. -
Great work with the Mustang, Mike! This has been a lot of fun to follow, as your builds always are. Great job with painting the body and engine detailing looks excellent as well. Keep it coming and a Happy Birthday.
-
Oh yeah I should've thought of that! We're having the same problem in here...And lots of snow.
-
Great looking build, Danno! That hood hinge is excellent, especially when considering the size of it. Really nice detail, too and great paint job. That's a cool subject that would be neat to build.

Wow this came as a Big surprise! I've never heard anything about Meng, but the comments I've read of their kits' quality got me really interested in. To me it looks very good, and it would be a great Race Car Hauler. Only thing is that I certainly hope that it won't be $50-$70, because if it really is that expensive, I'm not going to get the "One of these" as I would if it was regular $20-$30... These Trucks really aren't my favorite subjects, so if the price is insane, I'll prefer a Jo-Han kit.

I don't know if this works with your cell phone camera, but when my camera broke and I had to use my cell phone to take some pics, they came out horrible (Your pictures are excellent compared to the ones I got ). But when I took the camera outside and took the pictures a bit further away than I normally do, I was pretty happy with the results. Then with Photobucket's Photo Editor I cropped them a little and added a bit sharpness and very little brightness. Here's an example: Anyway from what I can see the Hudson is turning out really nicely. Nice and clean work with painting the Two-Tone body and it's coming very nicely together. I can't wait to see this one done.

Thanks Mike! Much Appreciated. After finishing the '61 Oldsmobile Wagon (http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=84746) I decided that the next one should be this Impala. I started by polishing the top and I think it came out pretty good, but there's still a long way to go with the rest of the body. I also painted the inner fenders with Humbroll Gloss Black using a paint brush.

Great work Terry! Especially considering the time you used for building it. I know I couldn't even build a Snap Kit at that time! Very nice and clean.

That turned out really good. It was really nice before the updating, too, but it's much better now. Gorgeous paint job and clean BMF work. I really like this one. I've never rebuilt my builds. Once I took apart my '57 Fairlane (My second build ever), but it got stalled almost immediately and it has been sitting like that in its box for a long time now. I decided that I will restore it just like I built it the first time. I like to see how my skills have improved during the years. But I find nothing wrong with updating old builds, either, especially when you did this fine job.

More... Here is a link to my Fotki for all of the pictures. (Yep, not as good as Tim Boyd's reviews, but you'll get an idea what the kit contains ) Overall the kit is interesting. Pros: The subject is very interesting, body looks accurate, nice tires and chrome parts. Cons: Parts count, amount of flash, mold lines etc on the body. The biggest problem is that this kit is getting Rare and I can't buy a big bunch of them.
