  1. I spent hours doing different kinds of Google-searches, and came up with nothing for this one. But at least I can say that it's Ugly.
  2. The carburetors on the Revell's '50 Olds. They're just painted with Revell's silver (Number 91) and then I installed some Photo Etch parts by Scale Dreams and linkages are from metal wire. Revell's '62 Impala carburetors. Painted with mixture of dirty thinner and Humbrol's Clear Orange. Details are made from sheet aluminium and metal wire. Jo-Han Plymouth Barracuda Dominators. Golden areas are painted with regular Humbrol gold paint and the chrome has some flat clear over it. Fuel line fittings are made from six-rounded Plastic Tubing, Photo Etch parts are from the Scale Dreams and rest of the details are just regular copper wire. Also the throats are drilled open, and I added nozzles there. Those are just some examples of what I do for my carburetors. There might be better and more realistic ways to do this, but I hope you still find this helpful.
  3. Just a regular Loctite Super Glue will work fine, and I believe that can be found from Norway, too. At least here in Finland those can be used everywhere.
  4. Well that is a beauty! Very nicely done Chrysler, and it looks like the Moebius Models kit will be an excellent one as always. Nice paint and BMF work, and your photography is top notch, as usual. This is yet another Must Have kit, though I haven't bought the '55 Chrysler's Stock Version yet either...
  5. Well that's nice! Much better than my build from the same kit. Your paint and detailing looks super nice to me. Are those red and blue areas painted or decals? Excellent build.
  6. Thanks Jason! It means a lot, and your Cuda was one of the things that was keeping me working with this one even though this project had some difficulties, too.
  7. Looking good, Darryl! The paint job is incredible, nice shine and smooth paint. The windows look very good, too. This will be amazing build when finished, it sure is a lot of fun to build a Scale Replica of 1:1 car, isn't it.
  8. Wow, That's Nice! Really good looking Monza from all views. Nice paint job and excellent details all around. The little modifications you've done look good to me, too. Nice build and perfect color choice also... We had a '79 Skyhawk in our family two years ago and it was exactly the same color. With a V8, it smoked tires easily. Also I'm interested in the Vega. What kit is it? Or is it some kind of a conversion? And of course, more pics please of that too.
  9. Nice project! I like these Drag Radial Race Cars, and I bet this will be a really nice build when finished. I think this color is really good one: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoT6-_1JuzI http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZAXx2guZP4 The car runs in Street here in Finland. It has Small Block Ford with Pro Charger...
  10. Thanks fellas, and yeah, the kit has a battery. I didn't know that some of these had one before Aaron pointed that out. I'm not a Funny Car expert, but these are a lot of fun to build. This is still kinda stalled, but I guess I can get an update posted soon. I've been working with the body and chassis... Bondo, sanding, more Bondo, more sanding etc.
  11. This is going to be interesting! I can't wait to see how this will turn out so I'm tuned in. I was just looking at this kit yesterday and it is on my Must Have list for sure. Your progress so far looks great, nice job with removing the exhaust and good work in the interior area, too. Keep it coming.
  12. Nice build! It's always great to see Stockers and Super Stockers being built, especially when they are built as nicely as this. Very nice paint job and clean work with the BMF, too. Nice photos also.
  13. A Couple Of More Scratchbuilt Items: An interior wall for my '77 Chevy Van that I scratchbuilt from Sheet Styrene. I had to do that, because otherwise the empty area on the inside of the body could be seen through windshield. For my '71 Barracuda (Jo-Han Kit) I scratchbuilt those two Fuel Pressure Regulators on the front inner fenders. They were built from different kinds of styrene tubings. And then door panels for my '61 Oldsmobile Wagon Custom project. They are scratchbuilt from Sheet Styrene and door handles are metal wire. Still a little Bondo work to do and window cranks are still missing, but otherwise they are done.
  14. You did a great job updating 'Not the Best Kit' into a very nice build. Nice work on the chassis and engine details. Looks like everything is just right and it could be fired up and ready to go. That body looks very good too with nice paint job on it. Great work, and I really enjoyed following the WIP Thread on this one.
  15. Great work as always, Brett. That looks very realistic, nice paint job and good work with the decals, they look really "Painted On" to me. Excellent job all around.
  16. Great work as always, Mike! That '57 Ford is a beautiful body style and your color choices couldn't be better for this one. Nice detail work too, my favorite is that red Line Lock button on the shifter, only few modelers remember to add that one on their builds. Great work.
  17. I had never clicked on it before this. Much easier to look all WIP Threads at once, then move on to Under Glass, then Car Kit Reviews and Drag Racing models etc. I prefer seeing all same type of topics at once rather seeing one here and there.
  18. Thanks Guys for the kind words! Robert: The flames weren't actually pink, but for some reason they looked like it on those pics. Actually they were bright red.
  19. Very cool as always from your bench! That color is excellent for a '41 Willys and I really like the Wheel choice too. The Dog Dish Hubcaps fit perfectly! My favorite part might be the engine, though. Very fine detailing and glad to see another Hemi with Hilborns!
  20. I second 100% what Jason said above. Those GM H-Bodies are really nice cars and a lot of fun especially when there's some V8 Power under the hood. We had a '79 Skyhawk for a couple of years and it was really fun car that could make the tires smoke easily. Chevette wouldn't be a bad choice, either. I think this Chevette that I saw in a Cruising Night here in Finland is very cool. Sorry about the shaky pictures... It was dark and Freakin' Cold there so not the easiest time to take steady pictures.
  21. The start looks excellent to me. I've always liked Old School Style Customs and after seeing your other builds I know this will be top notch. Nice work on the chassis lowering, it looks just my style, though I'm not a fan of Fender Skirts, but on this one they look good.
  22. Finally I got some primer over the Torino Talladega. The modifications that I did for the inner fenders to make the Pro Charger fit needed a couple of rounds of filling and sanding before they looked good.
  23. Very nice looking '57 Chevy! The colors are not very typical, but they look great on this body anyway. Nice engine detailing too and smooth paint work. You always do great work, Jim. Just wish that the guys in the backseat have short legs.
  24. I like the Freakshow name too! Makes me thinking one of the only good Finnish bands' song The Freakshow - and that is a good thing! Nice paint and great chassis work, too. I'm enjoying this build a lot, keep it coming!
  25. Thanks Brett and Darryl! The kind words do mean a lot. Brett you're right that my build quality has improved a lot since I joined here. The tips and tricks that I've found here, and from other forums, too but mainly in here has helped me a lot. Also it's great that we have such a nice people that if I don't get something and ask, I'll get just the information I need. You're right that Glue Bombs take a bit more effort to build, but I've always thought that it is possible to turn a real glue bomb into a nice looking model. I really appreciate the kind comments from you all. It means a lot when such a talented builders say that I did a good work. Of course constructive criticism is very highly appreciated, too.
