  1. Very nice Chevy Cameo. Great work on the BMF, it's not easy to do that narrow trims that nicely. Nice paint and very clean build overall, nice to see these Factory Stock Builds, too.
  2. Very Cool! It sure looks "Period Perfect" build to me. I like the stance and wheel and tire choice. Smooth paint and great overall look... I really like it.
  3. Last Week I got something done with the Torino Talladega. The interior is pretty much done. I only need to add Shifter and some finishing touches. I made the seat belts from paper and after that I just put the interior together as usual. It was pretty simple and fitment was great. Then I did a little test fit with the Chassis, Interior, Body and Engine and I saw that some cutting is needed on the inner fenders. Now the engine - and Pro Charger fit to the engine bay and I already filled the Windshield Washer Bottle's place. Battery-Area needs to be filled before any Bondo-Work.
  4. This is a good one ! Count me in as one who also gets ahead of myself. Most problems come from doing some modifications, then gluing scratchbuilt/modified parts on place and then I figure out, that I can't install all parts anymore... So I need to take it apart again. Because of this I try to plan my builds better nowadays but it looks like that doesn't always help either.
  5. Thanks Jeremy. Well this has been collecting dust for a long time. Today, new Turbochargers by TDR Innovations arrived from Teds Modeling Marketplace. Great service and fast shipping even across the ocean. I highly recommend this place. On the same order I bought some other goodies as well, as seen in the picture. Mainly Pro Tech stuff, that can't be bought here. There would have been lots of more Must Have stuff, but didn't have money for everything. Also my dad ordered some goodies, but he will post more about them when he gets that Super Stocker into progress.. The parts look very good and Ted's service was excellent. Thank You for the order. So all this means that the Mustang will be back on the bench! Some modifications will follow too. I'm not going to keep the body original, as originally planned. It will be "Full Pro Mod" with correct wheelbases etc. Just needs to figure out what should I do to get it right.
  6. I thought it was C300? Very good looking start. Your builds are always superb and with one of the best kits that I've seen, this is going to be interesting. Smooth paint and excellent work on the engine and interior. I'm looking forward for more.
  7. Five Hours?? I couldn't do that nice work in 5 Months! It certainly doesn't look like Five Hour build, everything looks good to me. Nice work.
  8. Looking Great! Your work is always impressive. Those Metal Finishes are really nice and that combined with spectacular detailing looks very good. My Pro Tech Braided Lines are somewhere between Miami and Finland... Can't wait.
  9. Thanks Peter! There sure is lots of Eye Candy in NASCAR and Drag Racing Models sections too. I think they are my favorite sections of whole Forum. Thanks for the kind words, they mean a lot coming from such a talented builder.
  10. I agree with the heads. They could be more realistic. But otherwise, I like the engine and I have used it in some of my builds. Of course, it's not the best, but I like it. Wow that Grille is work of art. I think I would need a Photo Etch part, if I tried to do what you did in here, there would be nothing left from the grille.
  11. Update: I painted those Speaker Grilles and that little Floor Mat with black from the interior. Then I installed the Roll Cage on place. I have not test fitted it yet with the Body, but I guess it will fit fine. The Seats were not that simple... I found some seats from my Parts Box, but they had horrible looking Headrests molded in. And I really mean Horrible! Well I cut them away and with some sanding I got the seats smoothed out for paint. Now they are on place. I'm away for the weekend, so I can't get any Bench Time. I will be checking in for others' Updates, though. And here is the painted Dashboard waiting for detailing.
  12. Thanks, I need to adjust the Blower boost screw to get maximum performance... Vipers look out! Here is Finnish Street Mustang that inspired me to build a Pro Charger engine. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MoT6-_1JuzI
  13. Chevy Small Blocks look pretty much the same, so you can use a regular 350 or any other SBC and call it 406. For Example the Revell '69 Nova kit (Special Edition) has very nice SBC that could be used.
  14. Very nice and unique build, Pat! Makes me speechless. The paint and overall detail is excellent... Truly Amazing.
  15. Very Nice Ford, excellent color choice, and I agree that the black hood works very well with it. As I'm building the same kit now, I have a question regarding the Chromed Tail Light Panel. Did you mask the chrome part and paint the rest flat black? If you did, what did you use for the masking and did you paint it just over the chrome? Or did you do it different way?
  16. It might be easier to use that Monogram body instead of AMT body as Jesse said above. But you said that the scales are different... Yes they are, but I personally think it doesn't matter if the scale is 1/24 or 1/25 as long as the parts fit together. I mean that parts from different kits can be different size, even if they were the same scale, so I have always just thrown the 1/25 and 1/24 parts into a same parts box. The fitment of that part is what matters, I guess. For wheel wells, the styrene and putty works great.
  17. Thanks Casey! That is new information for me and makes perfectly sense. Here in Finland, you just pay the 8 Euros (Approximately) and hope the best, was it then a regular, cheap kit or an expensive resin kit or something. Well it's very rare that a package gets lost or broken during the transport, but sometimes it happens.
  18. I have noticed that the shipping costs may vary a lot. Sometimes when surfing in eBay, I find some Models and shipping cost to Finland....$50!!! Then I just placed an order to Teds Modeling Marketplace and from there, shipping to Finland was $ 10,40 which is very cheap price. I just wonder, how some of those can be $50 and then some are $10, even if the size of that package would be different...
  19. I see nothing wrong with it! Nice paint work and I think that stripe really fits into this one. A bit different, but cool. Nothing wrong with the tires, either. The contrast of Red/Silver has always worked nicely on my eye, I really like this one. Only thing I'd suggest...More photos, please.
  20. Me Too. That's where I learn the best and possibly remember to do something different next time. The main points have been said already and I don't have much to add. You said that you liked chrome, which is always great, but in Model car it doesn't work that well in the engine. There is nothing wrong with the engine, but it would look even better with some of the chromed parts painted different shades of silver or flat clear (Which gives a very nice shade of silver). Not saying that there is something wrong, but it would look even better with those little things. It sure is a nice build with great paint and finishing. Excellent work, and yeah, there was only one seat in the kit (Had to go and check it from my build ). Great Work!
  21. This is going to be cool build! Nice work with the Trunk Lid, it looks super but that grille just blows me away, as Richard said above. I'll be following this one for sure. Only thing that I was wondering, was that "Not Much Here" on the engine. I think these kits had pretty nice engines, even though there are not that much parts, but they can be built very nicely. The most important thing with those is that they are big enough, I mean that some engines in some kits are way too small, but these are just right sized. I agree, that the parts count isn't the highest, but they sure look good when built.
  22. Thanks! Something that I have been working on the last couple of days. I installed the distributor to the engine, and put the Spark Plug Wires on place. They are Scale Dreams' stuff. First time ever when I'm using blue wires. Next I need to make a bracket for Alternator and then I'll make a belt for that too. Then the rest of the engine parts and all details... Interior is Flocked, too. Before Flocking I masked the little carpet on driver's area and speaker grilles away so they will be painted later. Then just regular Flat Black from Spray Can and Flocking on. Not my best effort on Flocking, but luckily this one is not Convertible. Dashboard was primered too after sanding a Mold Seam away.
  23. I couldn't do that for '60 or '62 Chevy ! Thanks for the kind words. Here's another one I just created. A '58 Caddy Concept. I have always thought that '58 Cadillac could look better. Well I'm not sure if this would be the best concept, but at least I like it more than the original '58 Cadillac. The Front Bumber and rear end are from '58 Pontiac.
  24. After a little break, I decided to try if I still can do this... I found nice side picture of '62 Bel Air and then I decided to make a Concept with '60 Impala rear end on '62 Chevy Body. Far away from the quality that some of you guys do, but I think it came out decent. The bodies look so different, that it wasn't an easy task to get it look like this.
  25. Thanks, yeah, it is a great place, only time when I need to put the bench light on is when it's dark, and now I haven't used it on whole summer, because Finnish nights are not that dark. The little door is for a fresh air from outside. Better to keep it shut in the winter so I don't freeze...
