Thank you for all your inputs, i have to admit even testors orange and bright red even thou they dont take as long to dry , do dry almost a flat color. Ill have to switch to the others ones you suggested. Thanks again for all the fast replies. -
Again, thank you for sharing, it helps me a great deal with my projects, very good work indeed. I also love the interior work with the paper blanket.

Man i would love to see your application of the lowrider biscut, have been trying to replicate that look for years and have found nothing that has worked for me. -
now thats an idea, i have a bunch of that stuff(magnetic sheeting), have to try that can cut that any size and shape....used it for making signs but never gave that a thought.

Well the design bug hit me today when me and the fam went to a few garage sales, got some bionicle sets thrown in a deal for free and after looking at the parts some creative ideas are coming to me. These parts are cool and have great art deco type shapes. He has inspired me to do some apoc building now.... forget about the shiny gloss coats for a while and take a break from 100% accurate builds... time to get to work... -

The only place that I can get a copy of it in my town is my local hobby shop. I should subscribe to it but for right now i dont. 1.) is since most of the hobby shops closed in my area i try to keep giving as much money as i can to my lhs to help them survive. 2.) its easier for me to just come up with the $6.00 a month. I had read on here that one day it would be on the newstands with the other mags but to no avail yet. one day i plan on subscribing but the best bet for you is to see if you have a local hobby shop that carries it. -

Oh heck yeah i have spent plenty of time on his Fotki site. Some of the best original ideas I have ever seen. -
thank you to all for repsonding, I will for check my local hobby shop as they are mostly all r/c so ill go that route. I love to not pay shipping and handling if i do not have to. If they dont carry then ill just go thru mail order.

Crooked Deals ?????
Darren B replied to Romell R's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I guess its all in the eye of the beholder too of what a person has to trade. However one mans trash can be another mans treasure. I have to say its not only in trades but what you send. I used to (not any more) sell models that I built on ebay, (and every model had 10-20 good close up pics showing the model from every angle)and about 4-5 years ago i sold a totally cherried out lowrider and apparantly it didnt live up to the expectation of the buyer and he smashed it all up and sent it back in pieces saying it was damaged in shipping so he could get his money back. (and he after giving very negative feedback tried to further get me kicked of ebay, and I had 100% feedback before his auction) I had over 200 hours in detailing the paint and kit and it only sold for $85.00, highest bid, but that was how it goes on ebay when you start at $1.00 and was no issue to me as I was sending out a near contest winner, and I packed it inside a box that was put in peanuts and then in another box, but the car looked as if it had been either stomped on or ran over by a car. No possible way to have the car come back in about 1000 little pieces. So what i guess im trying to say is that no matter what you precieve to be a good model, good trade, the other person will no doubt have other ideas! -
very awesome build, any updates?

Me too! I just bought a lathe and have played with it for a while but am having problems figuring out how to use certain bits and load the bits right. A tutorial would be awesome.

Flocking from the scrapbooking section
Darren B replied to Darren B's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Have you tried the glitter in your paint job? Is the scale of the flake "glitter" to big to shot thru an airbrush? The glitter is what I really want to try first before the flocking.
