  1. That dragon is awesome, thank you for the advice i will for sure give the gloss a try and let it dry longer, i tested the clear gloss over mine sample only about 20 mins of applying it so ill see what happens. Thank you for your quick reply, it may be the quality of the tattoo as well, im thinking of trying another brand of temp tattoos...
  2. I may have had this one in the wrong topic. I have seen it done, not sure what forum, but have seen it done before, using temp tattos. I am currently trying some from www.ssmvending.com, out of a vending machine, my question is has anyone try it here on this forum and have any luck with them laying done smooth? I thought of using flat paint as it is close to skin, then clear coating. I have done that with one coat clear, looks like it may take several coats to get it smooth. Is there any particular brand that is better than another brand?

  4. I usually build lowriders. Then when i get bored do some military or sci fi builds, but first and for most lowriders because of the extra detail that goes into them, heres my latest lowrider. Acura Lowrider
  5. Thank you, yes the kit is really a great kit, i want to get a few more because it really just fell together, most kits are a fight at the end especially to get the body on the bottom half but even on this one was no trouble at all. I highly recommend this kit!!! Nice build ill make a lowrider out of one of the kits. thank you Thank you. Actually i think its flag stone, by my pond out by the front door.
  6. Gift certificate to the LHS which with the price of model supplies comes in handy. I wish the keys to the real thing now that would keep me building 24/7 to win
  7. I know what you mean about that, the body took three dunks in brake fluid as I had so much problems with it, and that was just a start. I usually don't build for contest because of that fact but this one had a cool prize with winning.
  8. I did dry brush the fender wells and most of everything else with just a light grey and for the hoses I used some weathering chalks fro Doc Obriens from Micro Mark.
  9. actually its a pond in front of the house.
  10. It is a decal, printed it out decal paper, there are two other decals on the interior door panels as well. They are kinda hard to see because of the paint build up, got to thick with the candy paint. They are pretty easy to make. Biggest thing is you need a graphics program that will reduce images and still give them good quality like photoshop or coreldraw, I use both from time to time. I just have a regular HP inkjet printer, and got the pics off line. Here is a pic before the green over coat was applied.
  11. Cool little kit, was able to pump this out fairly quick.
  12. thank you all for all your complements, its actually the first muscle car I have ever built and only did it for a contest and it won first place out of 21 other cars. You have to build this kit, it just fell together on the building side. Not one problem putting it together, and the lettering on the hose comes with the decal sheet with the kit, i highly recommend this kit if your into old muscle cars.
  13. A few more shots...
  14. This is my second post under glass. Its an acura RSX Lowrider, kinda tuner/lowrider.
  15. A few more pics...

I have never posted any works here yet, but just got this one done in time to win a local contest in my area with it. I hate to build for just for model contest cause Im a slow builder and it makes it hard to hit the deadline.
  17. Ebay is cool but when i go there you cant save the pics there like in a format that doesnt let you right click. Do you look at them on ebay and model from the computer or do you have a way of saving them?
  18. WOWOWOWOWOWOW once again another masterpiece, you always top the previous build, awesome try out on another technique and thank you for sharing with us!
  19. I know what you mean. That's one of the reasons that I just get mine at the hobby shop, used to subscribe to a car magazine and about every month it looked as if it had gone thru a wood chipper before i got it.
  20. Dressing bummy or just rag tag shouldnt make a difference for anyone. Customer service i have been observing for a long time now is totally out the window, wheter in person or over the phone , people just dont care anymore and will treat people like dirt anyway. Still if the owner of that hobby shop knew what Happened im sure they would have handled it!
  21. love the graphics on the tutorial. great artist too!
  22. Love the lowrider look, especially on a high dollar porsche. Awesome build. Love it!
  23. Yes thanks for sharing, awesome idea!
  24. Now thats what i call a miniature! wow thats tiny, but cool. keep up the awesome build!
  25. yeah no doubt. The media trying to say recession over in july 09. Ain't that a load of garbage? I kinda believe them that it will be rough thru 2013! and im not trying to start anything negative or political for the record!
