  1. Totally impressed with what the games store had from the reapers collection, didnt find any bones yet but will go back friday for more. Not sure on placement of the axes but will probably make a rack to hold them in the cab.....
  2. Added a few skulls up top. Can't have enough skulls on this build!
  3. Not much to update, at a lose for inspiration and ideas. Had to cover the door hinges and was thinking about using urethane foam to make a pedestal and something like a head stone for the back of the cab. Got it cut and shaped, now to figure out what kind of pattern to form in the foam.
  4. Well guess im gonna have to make a cementry dio with this, i found this city gate in my stash and it would make for an awesome gate for a cementary.
  5. balsa foam head stones, just trying out to see if I need to make bigger, smaller or in between....
  6. I made a sythe/sickle to put in the cab kinda like in a gun rack but instead of a gun have this in its place. Used a tooth pick for the handle and pin tin metal for the blade.
  7. Chris I dont mind you sharing your pics at all. Killer 61 impala, I had a lindberg convert of that kit that I sold like and idiot, i should have built it. Looks very clean from what I see there. I am glad that I inspire some body into building something. Keeps me on track to push my self to finish a project.
  8. I agree awesome idea and a cheap one at that.
  9. You sound like me about the lowriders. they take me for ever and because they get so deep in detail and major work i lose interest and model other stuff. the projects get just too complicated and a mountain of work. I (and im sure everyone else on this board) would gain a lot of info from your knowledge. I for one am very interested!!!!
  10. I never knew that, that is very smart. Thank you for sharing and you should to a tutorial on it that is really neat.
  11. Got some progress last night, working on installing the door panels, made the coffin shaped console for the 1 seat, and had an idea to take a resin skull, cut it in half and put them on the side of the bed to keep with the macabre theme.
  12. Thank you all for the comments. A little more work...The door is recessed and boxed and the skull and cross bones will fit flush in opening, doesn't show from photos because tape was holding it out more. and to bring the seat up higher making a coffin shaped box that I will box in with coffin pleated foam and mirrored plastic edges. Also decided that two seats would be too big so just putting the one seat on top of the coffin. Kinda like cyclops.
  13. Im liking this one keep up the good work.
  14. Thanks Ray, was thinking originally of using sheet plastic to cut the cross backs to shape but worried in scale that they would be to fragile. I may still try to make one as close as possible as Im finding out that the ones I have in the pic are too big. by the time that I do the door paneling they may rub on each other or the doors. but also thinking of just using one seat and centering it in the middle kinda like a cyclops. but will see.
  15. Wow what a great idea, now to find me a hexagonal vise. i love it! Thank you for sharing.
  16. I primarily build lowriders and you can scratch build just about any suspension that you need, and build your own hydro cylinders, pumps, thats what I do and to get a lot of tech you have to visit this forum Layitlow.com Its a forum for real lowriders and has a lowrider model section. the link should take you right to the model section. Great resource for lowriders including pics from the real cars to the model section. Some members on this forum are members over there as well. Truscale (Eric) for one, awesome builder and great guy, he can help you out here as well.
  17. I wanted to model these, but wasn't sure how to go about it.
  18. Long time no update, been really swamped at work, this is what Im looking for for the seats.
  19. Yeah I have to agree with Custom Mike here. Just totally unreal work, looks like a real engine, I too felt like throwing in the towel and tossing out my stuff as well!!!! This is gonna be beautiful?~?~?~??~?~
  20. Just a word of advice, start with clean hands and try carpet tape. My first try on masking tape and half way thru the tape looses its stickyness. But since I have been using carpet tape, havent had a problem with it not sticking. Pics soon.
  21. No problem at all , trust me i try not to stir up things on here. Just want to get my mag its the best one out there.
