  1. absolutely incredible, tim! sorry to hear the wood didn't work out. that would have been "killer". no doubt you're building "THE" legend of altereds here! clutch pedal is to die for! and thanks john.....our lives weren't hard enough. hehe. can't wait to see it with the cs1 behind it.
  2. many thanks guys!!!! been pretty busy again lately. finally got some time to do some detail stuff. got the chassis painted. mock assembly. made this interior panels and c/f'ed them. made a clutch arm for the cross shaft. also the clutch pivot for the frame. trans blanket. made the rest of the parts and pieces for the rear. this will be the actual with it will sit at.
  3. love it! very nice job. good work getting the intake made and making it with the correct port spacing. i like the pro jacks too! as a side note: don't be too hard on the model manufacturer on the "box" intake. the prostock guys, up to last year put covers (your box) on the intakes to hide them. this as been going on for 20+years.
  4. i love the beadlock conversion on the old bear paw, paul. it makes me all tingly. love the front too. great work. i know it's lot's of effort!!!!!
  5. o.k..... NOW YOU"VE DONE IT!!!!!!!! you broke my eyes!!!! just beyond outstanding tim!!! can't wait to see the hubs and brakes.
  6. killer stuff there tim. that looks awesome!!!! al it needs is a little brake fluid!!!
  7. john, thank you, sir! henry, thanks for following. tim, i glad you you "peek in". i get just as many ideas from you! leonard, always good to hear from friends!! mike, tanks, hope you continue to follow along! i was rummaging through my files and i found a pic of the carb bodies before i assembled them. for those of you whom this might help.......here ya go.
  8. thanks john. she is my pride and joy that's fer shure! henry and dave , thanks! bruce, glad to have you follow along! scott, thanks! hope i answered your question. well, i got to puttin' the carbon decals on. something i admit is not my strong point. did the entire seat only to have them lift off the next day. thought maybe it was the material being too flexy. i noticed it did stick in some spots. so i tried a different primer just for giggles. decals stuck like glue. so, i either got a bad sheet of decals or the difference in primers helped. either way, it was an expensive lesson. at 11.00 bucks a sheet (it takes an entire sheet to do the seat by the way) any way here's my seat with all of it's mistakes. the scoop takes a full sheet too, so my carbon decal bill just for these two parts is at $33.00. plus we have the interior floor and side panel to go. the scoop, while it stuck on the first attempt. (yes, i put the other primer on before this try) is very difficult with all of it's compound curves. trust me you're not seeing the bad parts. thank god for camera's and lighting. also made the steering rack mount and the flex coupling.
  9. looking forward to your late christmas, paul. this is going to change modelling's future, for sure!!!!!!
  10. great looking builld leonard!! love this stuff.
  11. here are the mock ups.
  12. henry, thanks! you be certain, if this were a real motor, it would be in my real car!!! hehe. joe, thanks buddy. always a pleasure!!!! bill, thank you. i can only hope that you get the chance to dive into a model this deeply. so you can experience the reward of it all. it's not like building a real car. it is actually more work. you don't go buy a block, you get make it.....know what i mean. there is only as much effort and detail as you command. no one else. it's a liberating experience. tim, i love it.....mayan stepped pyramid!!!!!! you're always welcome...you know that! here's the pic you requested. it's raining so i couldn't take it out for a better shot. dave w., thanks! dave r., thank you also! john, thank you, sir! brad, if watch closely ,.....i'm on "people of earth"..... no,not really!! thanks!!! so i got the scoop tray hogged out. not that it matters but, it's amazing how light it got. roughed in the scoop.
  13. i got to hand it to you paul. super detailing there!!!!!! now if i can just convince you and chris to build in 1/8 (so people can see these details)!!!! hehe. buy the way.....do you mind telling us what glue you use for this printed material? (sorry if someone has already asked)
  14. the master cylinder is just off the hook tim!!!! the detail (i know you've heard this time and time again but.....) INCREDIBLE!!!!! same with the steering box. just incredible. can't wait to see this finished column....it'll take days just to take it all in.
  15. now for the hard work. i made a scoop tray. still needs to be hogged out but the exterior is done. you'll also see the beginningsof the carb linkage on the intake manifold. couple of engine shots for perspective.
  16. thanks fellas!!! been super busy over the holiday. tim stopped in and we discussed some VERY cool stuff. i got some work done on the dragster. machined a rear wing mount and machined the housing to make it fit. if you're gonna make a wing mount you need a wing and some struts, sooooooo...... wired and plumbed some nitrous soleniods to the intake. re-finished the front wheels and put new hardware in.
  17. always impressive work tyrone. nice to see a clutch car with a big motor. sweeeeet!
  18. paul, which bolt pattern are you going to use? don't know if it helps, the o.d. on the bell housing is around 14.500" -14.625". just measured one today.
  19. great looking oil filters, tim!!! absolutely the best looking donovan and parts on the board.
  20. i am officially "jealous"!!!
  21. i have to agree with chris, paul. absolutely time well spent!! looking VERY good.
  22. could i have a pair of those, as earrings for the wife? i can't imagine the effort to get the belt correct tim. way to go!!!!!!
