ron, if you look closely at the "ford " motor sonny leonard makes. i believe you'll see no difference to the "chevy" version. they just put ford stickers on it. would love to see the 460 block and parts you made. i did a set of boss nine heads and a set of c-460 heads in 1/8. here's a pic. haven't gotten to the block and stuff yet. not sure about how you feel on accuracy. if you're off the deep end like i am (i think paul's in the same pool as i) you'll want to be careful about the parts you buy. many of these guys are are just making things that look close and by close i mean, close until you have to have them interact with other parts. then they're not even in the same ball park. that stuff is a bit of a pet peeve of mine. the engine that paul put up is a ford pro stock motor. good for a little over 500 cubes. bad ass motor....just as a side note on this motor. there is NOTHING about it that is even similar to the 429 shotgun glidden ran. i have over 860 pics of that mustang alone from tubing rack to fire up. when and if you are ready let me know. -
many thanks to you john!

ron, that is a 5.3" bore center, dart billet block, 903 cubic inch pat musi built motor. i guess you could sorta say it's has a resemblance to a big block chevy. although "very" little resemblance. -
chris, thank you. glad you like the cars! dave, thank you sir! i love watching your stuff come together. ron, i love building 1/8 drag stuff. i guess some of the love come through...? thanks! brad, thanks bud. i do have a basement full of stuff. not as organized or as clean as one might like but.......... good thing about building in these scales, like i do, i don't build a whole lot of 'em so..... not really to much

ron, yes i make my own tires and wheels. the tires are 5" neoprene rounds that buy and then machine into tires. here are some shots of that mustang. sorry no shots with tapes or scales. the car was built 2 or 3 years ago. so the pics are what they are. -

hey ron, i can appreciate the effort you put into this build. i love that you took the time to draw up some prints to lead you way through the build. great stuff!!!! great choices on your selection of parts. early hemi's are bad to the bone! don't worry about the lack of response in the "big boy" dept. the snob attitude that prevails over there made me leave to come here. i do mostly 1/8 stuff. i used to dabble in some 1/12 but, i just love working in 1/8. any way, great start to a great build keep at it and keep me informed here. she definitely has attitude!!!! -
sorry for the long delay guys. i've been accumulating stuff for a another engine ( can you say 730"? ) and well........you know. time just seems to get away from me. john, thanks buddy!!! tim, thanks my friend. i knew you would catch that. joe, i keep playing the song neon nights in my head only i change the words to nitro knights. dave thanks. i don't believe there is a reg. for the location of the bottles. samuel, i get most of my dimensions from either real parts / cars or through extensive internet searches. when that fails, i extrapolate dimensions from pictures. mike, thanks and glad your following along. the wheelbase alone is 34.375" (275" in 1:1 scale. it's about 40" from tip to tip. no wheelie bar. dave, thanks !! man i really enjoy your willys. can't wait for the next one. my new play toy.
