  1. thanks john. means a lot ,to me, coming from someone with your knowledge of the cool factor. thank you, brother!! chris, just awesome , accurate workmanship. the candy factory ROCKS! when she's streetable, you're more than welcome to come for a ride!!
  2. '57 is looking good ron. i can see why you're not gettin' anything done.......that challenger AWESOME!!
  3. everything is just incredible john. gotta tell ya those cables, that clutch pedal and the coil are just SO life like!!!!!! WOW man......WOW
  4. i feel the "tension" growing in this build. hehe. i figured i'd say it before joe did
  5. john, many thanks, but chris gets the cudos for those accelerator pump arms. funny car is awsome by the way!!!! tim, you're the best buddy! i'm sure you could knock these babies right outta da park! aaron, thanks for the inquiry. as always, it's slow going, i'm a one man band on a tight budget. hehe. here's a recent photo. she's no looker (probably never will be) but, i think she'll get the job done.
  6. that's some fine model building, right there, mr. kemp.
  7. so,i go caught up in the photobucket b.s. and i'm going to try my new fotki account....we'll see. i have a few minutes to do one side of my carb linkage that chris modeled for me and i must say .......WOW!!!!! fits like the proverbial glove. now, for the test photo. now that was easy!!!! thanks fotki! now i just need to fix all of those photo's that photobucket is holding ransom.
  8. bottom manifold is a big block. it's also efi. totally streetable. staggered length stacks are only big block specific to equalize the intake tract runner length. for those that don't know big block chevy's have a long and a short intake runner in the head. length of the tube is tuned to the operating range of the engine/ drivetrain combo. i'll stand by it because it's correct. spend 10 more minutes researching the head thing before you give up. you might learn something.
  9. as far as building models goes guys. the first 2 pics bill showed are absolutely what your looking for. the third. is a big block chevy with standard big block chevy heads. thus, the staggered injector length. when i need my pipe organ tuned.......i'll give you a call bill.
  10. bottom manifold is a big block. it's also efi. totally streetable. staggered length stacks are only big block specific to equalize the intake tract runner length. for those that don't know big block chevy's have a long and a short intake runner in the head. length of the tube is tuned to the operating range of the engine/ drivetrain combo.
  11. don't know where to start john. adding all the details to the tin and body work....fantastic! the anti-rotation on the rear, the brake lines. nicely done. always a pleasure to watch you do your thing brother!!!
  12. i'm glad you decided to do the altered. not being a smart a** but, that rear engined funny car (while very cool) just wasn't the right platform for this engine. i (unfortunately) new the massive undertaking you were heading in to. having this jewel not only covered up by a body but, behind the driver as well. that would have been nothing short of "sinful". you're going to have a blast with the paint. this era was full of killer paint jobs!!!!
  13. oh my goodness!!!!!!! the results here are NOTHING short of SPECTACULAR tim!!!!! that engine, sitting there, with that blower on it..........speechless.
  14. just here to say, HI ! ..........................................HI.
  15. and i thought i was busy........hey buddy! hehe.
  16. tim, sooooo impressive, too think that is only about an inch long motor............the detail is super-smurf-accu-licious!!! un-be- (fill in the word) lievable!!!!!!!
  17. john, this is one of my favorite funny car bodies!!! this car has SOOOOO much personality!!!! love the chassis work brother!!!!!
  18. sorry for being so late to respond. i hope my excuse makes it forgivable. jeff, that is one heck of a compliment.....thank you. tim, ....tell mugsy, it's 3 knocks,1 bang and 3 knocks and i'll open the door for him! don't bother with the 3 hots........just bring the salior jerry!!!! i promise i'll get there (the work bench) soon!!! brad, i will (unfortunately) have to agree with you. i don't think i'll be terrorizing any streets in arizona. i wish i could get out there to see all of my friends out west, though. that would be COOL! i think you'd get a kick out of goin' for a ride!
  19. thank you dan. i'm hoping for a window of opportunity to open here. did a little test fitting with chris's parts and they are looking "spot on".
  20. glad you like the pic, brad. the pic is like 3 weeks old. we're getting closer every week to getting 'er done.
  21. sounds like you have all the skills to do a bang up job, brian. can't wait to see what you do with this build.
  22. john, the front end REALLY brings the bike to life!!! you are truly a master of the art. i can't stop looking at this build. it just draws me in, all the time.
