  1. beautiful build john. you are an amazing talent, brother!! and an amazing photographer too.... a couple of these shots are REALLY ARE INCREDIBLE!!!!!!!
  2. paul, you and chris are knocking this 3-d stuff outta da park!!!!! to say it's beautiful is an understatement. the accuracy brings a tear to my eye!!!!!!!!!
  3. i've taken a road runner course in greek speak.............beautious maximus supremus. if there were an Altered Hall of Fame........this would be in stall #1. colts gonna be badass!!!
  4. john, the attention you put into all of the detail is just amazing!! then add your artistic flair to the mix and...........well.....just incredible. i'll pick my jaw up later.........
  5. clay, thanks big guy!! where you been? art, thank you sir! glad you like it.
  6. i googled it and apparently mpc made one. there may be others. maybe one of the other members could chime in and help, as i am not the most up -to-date 1/24-1/25 model builder.
  7. aaron, have you made a choice as to which you'll build first? looks like you have an awesome selection. personally, i'm leaning towards the chevette. looks pretty radical.
  8. thank you bob! i always consider it the ultimate compliment when i have to make some one look twice at something. thanks! chris, happy??? i'm ecstatic! you're work has been nothing but exceptional my friend!!! i know those accelerator levers are THE bomb! i mean, have you looked at how well they fit?
  9. hi, evan. i'm proud to say there is not a single kit part in this build it is almost entirely scratch built. i am trying to restore the photos i lost to the photobucket debacle. if some part of the car is of special interest, let me know and i'll work on restoring those photos first. chris sobak 3-d'd the seat, carburetor throttle arms, and the clutch arms. rb motion does some of my bolts and all of the rod ends. the center section of the rear and the lenco while marketed by tdr, are made off of my drawings. literally, everything else is scratch built and machined by me. engine, bell housing, clutch, chassis, wheels, tires, brakes..........etc.
  10. thanks tom! if i can figure out how to download a video of the car (hehe), i have one from a recent car show.
  11. aaron, not sure what you wanted? john, thanks!! gotta say you're outta control on that funny brother!! LOVE IT! tim, thank you kind sir. your insight is always welcome , my friend. chris, the candy store strikes again, brother!!!! i gotta call you about some more caramel and sugar!!!
  12. here's a shot of the car i actually own. not a pic of me in some one else's car. got to drive her for the first time last week. took 5 years to get here. was worth all the effort.
  13. no one can leave you alone for a minute , john. seriously.................awesome!. i don't believe i've ever seen a remote oil filter unit like that......you should market it!!!! in 1:1!!!!!!
  14. many thanks, john! had some time away from the 1:1 so i made the best use of my time that i could........model building! got the throttlle linkage done. thanks to rb motion and chris sobak for their absolutely CORRECT scale parts.
  15. thanks brad. unfortunately, for me, there's none of that motor in my car. mine is a paltry 2/3rds of that monster. had a great time at the show. brutally hot/ humid. i believe it hurt the car count alot. anyway onto the dragster. here's a shot of the clutch arms, in place, inside the bell housing. another super job by chris (a.k.a. the 3d master). the red arrows point out the levers. working on the throw out brg. next.
  16. john, what you did with the wheels is just beautiful. i love the detailing on the chassis. you have an incredible build going on. can't wait to see the next treat!!!!!
  17. thank you guys!!!! i always appreciate your help and encouragement. getting ready for tomorrow. so, maybe, i can get back to the dragster on sunday. chris, thanks for the question. when i first purchased the car. it was a used 6 sec. pro mod. it ran a 903 pat musi motor with 4 kits (i think on the 4 kits might have been 3). titanium wheelie bars and chutes were available but, i wasn't really interested in them. the wheelie bars were an extra $2000-2500 as i recall. so......., no wheelie bars or dual chutes. with the weight of the car projected at a portly 2600-2800 lbs. and only about 1000 h.p. on tap. if we took the time to really get it right, it might go 8.20's.......i'd be happy if it went high 8's as is. nhra requires cars that go 150 mph to have 1 chute. so we'd be in the 1 chute deal. i do have some pics of the car when it was a pro mod. here's the ti wheelie bars and the chutes. dual chutes. 903 EFI/ nitrous musi motor. you can see the 5" bull horns, carbon rear wing, dual chutes, titanium wheelie bars. again, these are shots, of the car, BEFORE i owned it. it was certainly one bad unit.
  18. YES!!! glad to hear you're not broken tim!!! that IS A GOOD THING. super excellent work on that motor plate. just gorgeous!!!
  19. charlie, thanks. glad to see you following along. thanks john!! tim, thanks, a thousand times over. hehe. chris, happy with the carb parts is an understatement!! working on getting those clutch parts installed...i think you'll like. clutch linkage at the bell housing is done. throttle cable mount on the manifold. working on the rest of the carb linkage. thanks for looking' in.
  20. brian, don't know if you're interested or if it helps but, here's chassis from the chassis works site. it probably needs to have the wheel base stretched but, i do believe it's for a '66-'67 nova. while 1.625 is correct for mostly the rollcage. the rest of the chassis will be mostly 1.500 and 1.250 any way so,....... i wouldn't get too upset about it. you can only do so much with what we have.
  21. john, i looked but, i couldn't find the answer. what did you use for the front spindles? just amazing details hidden everywhere. oh,...and clean up that fuel spill,.....would ya? hehe!!
  22. john, i don't know how you do it brother!!!! "extraordinary" is apparently in the genetic code in your family!!!!!!!
  23. got the carb accelerator pump linkage done. THANKS CHRIS. carbs are mounted gotta thank chris for the handy throttle transfer linkage arms!!! next a therottle cable mount and onto the throttle pedal. i hope the candy store is open....heheh!!!
  24. right now it's 604 cubic inches. have a 730 inch going together for it.
