  1. good stuff, joe!! love the header shields. the flush mount windshield is sure to make those wings work better. love the progress!! don't rush the paint buddy....plenty "o" time for that. i'm sure you'll have it finished before chris!!!! hehe. (hope chris doesn't beat me up for that one.)
  2. incredible work paul!! i hope you get back to the 481x soon. if you decide to market them. i'd like to get both the turbo'd and the blown versions. they look incredible!!!! everything else is just super also....the 481x just makes my knees weak!
  3. paul, check your mail box.
  4. i like knitro knight too. joe, can i find "bat-scallops" in the seafood section? hehe. lookin' great!!
  5. john, gabriel and dave. thanks for the support guys!! dave, i make most of my own decals, the really cool foil ones i have a friend of mine do. here's a little update. plumbing the dry sump. if it helps the size of the lines in 1:1 would be as follows. pan to the pump (4 lines) -12 pump to tank (1 line) -16 tank to the pump -12 or -10 pump to the filter then the block (-10)
  6. top shelf work and attitude paul!! getting things "correct" is part of what makes model building such a fun challenge. loving the cs-1 lenco and that 481X!!!!!! (need way more pics!!! will they be available in 1/8 too?) all of the other parts are just beautiful. please don't let this sit tooo long waiting for your milling machine.
  7. brad, if you see mine down there, would tell it to come home. mine simply up and walked away!!!!!! so glad you decided to make these instead of using what was available, tim. even you have to admit. they are just gorgeous!!!
  8. henry, thanks. chris, thank you, sir! try not to drool on the front of your pants. i did it one time looking at your funny car and someone thought i pee'd myself...hehe!!! so here's the pan.
  9. o.k......i give up! there is no way to compete against that (although it is fun!!!!!) tim, simply "OFF THE HOOK" applies here!!!!!
  10. john, thanks for stoppin' in! tim, thanks! always feel way better than i really am when i talk to you. brad, thanks for the compliment. i'm not to sure about the stellar part. hehe.....maybe more like stella. so this engine needs an oil pan. which was next on the agenda. machined one outta ren-shape and filler primed it. i now i keep talking about these really cool weld decals that archer transfer makes so i thought i'd give you a peek at the installation. most of you guys can probably do decals waaay better than me but,...here goes. these are the weld decals. you must cut them into strips which is a little tedious. for me the results are well worth the efforts. here are the decals installed on the oil pan. i used solva-set to get them to setup really nice. it takes time and patience ( something i'm usually not long on) i'll let them set over night. shoot a little more primer and then some color.
  11. sorry, no decals in 1/25th. you can go to any gauge site. download an image of the gauge you want. crop it. print it on decal paper. spray it with the coating in the decal maker kit. boom! instant decal. really easy.
  12. all of these builds are extraordinary. please excuse my 1/25th scale ignorance......are these bodies manufactured by modelmartin? or are they stock bodies from modelmartin that you modified? either way, i love what you've done here!!! (and your other builds too!)
  13. i researched the bottles, valves, gauges and handles at all of the nitrous / and bottles manufacturing companies web sites. found what it was i wanted to build. drew up my prints and machined all of the parts. these are 100% scratch built.......... even the bottle decals ( also for the gauges).
  14. tyrone, thanks buddy! john, always good to hear from you!! chris, thank you kind sir!! dave thanks! joe, your comments always make me feel better about the flaws i know are there. thanks! tim, thank you for your support. always good to hear what you have to say!!!!! scott, thanks! ray, thanks! so, this weekend i got to the drysump system. made a tank, a breather, the pump, and the two pulleys. doesn't sound like much but,..........
  15. yes, i have built nitrous bottles. along with fire bottles and co2 bottles.
  16. certainly worth the wait for this update tim!!!!!!!! the joint in that seat is to die for!!!! excellent stuff, buddy!!
  17. you sir, are the MASTER of the outlaw cars!!!!!!!!!! well done tyrone!!!
  18. many thanks john!! compliments from a talent such as yourself are always welcome. attempted to replicate a meziere starter.
  19. john, thank you. hopefully i can keep up with the standards you set for us all. (good thing!) mike, hehe, no fooling you buddy. how did you know? thanks! best compliment that can be made in my opinion. scott, thanks. listen close, you may here it some day. hehe. tim, you always make me chuckle buddy!!!!!! brad, thanks! joe, THAT is what i want to hear!!!! that this has motivated and inspired some one !!!!!! THANK YOU BUDDY!! chris, glad you like!!!! those arms will be the cats meow inside that can!!!!! so, all of that drive train stuff needs to hook to the rear so i made a coupler. at the other end i started to do some steering work. here is the rack and pinion unit. the car will be a front steer car.
  20. chris, ALWAYS a pleasure to talk with you bud!! ed, john's a world class modeller for sure. certainly glad you're following along!! joe, darth and myself both have one thing in common.....we are both walk on the dark side. hehe. leonard, glad to hear from you!!! bob, that tim guy is really hard to keep up with!! dave, many thanks!! so, i got some more clutch work done. here is the clutch assy. as it stands. i have some clutch arms being 3-d modeled by my good friend chris. when they arrive we can get the fork and throwout brg. in there. assembled. opened up the access holes in the can so the clutch is a little more visable.
  21. thanks brad. hold on, it's only gonna git better! john, thank you! tim, thanks for the ideas. we'll have to see what time allows me to complete. mike, hope you like the next few shots even more. here's one every drag racer wants for christmas.
  22. thanks brad. you should DEFINITELY get a lathe. maybe a small mill, too. there is nothing like machining metal to forget ones woes or worries. here is the cover for the clutch. now all that's left are the spring cups(6), clutch arms(6), stands(6), doughnut(1), disc's(2 or 3) and floaters(1 or2). plus the cross shaft and fork and throwout brg.
  23. tim, i can't help but come back and stare at those clamps!!!! your ability to solder so cleanly in this scale in nothing short of amazing. WOW!
  24. chris, thanks bud. i think i know that guy you're referring to.......nice guy. call me....we'll talk. dave, thank you and i'm glad you like what's going on. mike, can't wait to see these 2 funny cars! especially the "batcar". that thing was "loaded" with technology. if i'm not mistaken nhra banned quite a few of armstrong's idea's on that car. BAD CAR...can't wait to see it. got a few moment to works on the clutch drawings. got far enough to make the flywheel. the clutch is going to be a 7" dual, maybe a triple. it also utilizes a 12" flywheel.
  25. john, again thanks. the original idea is kinda stolen from clay's pro stock display. so, rightfully, i have to thank him for the idea. thanks clay!!!!!! paul, thanks. as soon as i am done here i'm off the the drawing table to draw up the clutch and other accessories that i will need. tim, mine may be bigger than yours (i had to squeeze that in) but, yours is no less as cool. brad, i can guarantee i used less than 5% of that piece of round bar. sometimes you have to destroy a lot to get a little. hehe. the aluminum is just your standard 6061-T6. nothing special. mike, glad you like where we're headed. i don't know why you wouldn't post your stuff. always loved your work!! mike, i know tim and i both will share just about anything there is on the PROCESS of how we do stuff. the caps aren't for you mike (iborg).
