  1. i didn't take it as a negative vibe thing jack. it's alot of money to dish out for a model car..... and if it's not your favorite, why buy it? i'll admit it's not my all time favorite but, it's in my top 5. i plan on doing some more in the future and i just wanted to let people know the door is open for your favorite car to come to life. hey, who wants to be a resonable adult? i just wanna be a toys "r" us kid!!!!!!!
  2. glad to hear the camaro has arrived. i'm certainly glad to hear it has passed inspection for the most part. it will be exciting to see everyone's concept's and different ideas emerge on this, as each car makes the transition from pile"o" parts to completed model. sorry to hear it's not your favorite car, jack. the good thing is ANYONE can get TDR to produce a body. if there is one out there that better suits your tastes, call them up and see what it takes to get it produced. you may be pleasently surprised.
  3. WOW! i can't wait to see some of these cars under construction. are you going with a super charged, turbo or nitrous, chuck? i'm so glad you like the body!!!
  4. i haven't gotten the fuel bowls done yet but here is where i'm at. for those who don't know how big a dominator is compared to a 4150-4160 style carb. here ya go. wait 'til you see how big the braswell style venturis are.
  5. hey scott, i'm still looking for that pic. with 12,000 shots sometimes things get lost....duoh! try here at the bottom of the page. http://www.strangeengineering.net/newprod/UltraHousingguideR1.html
  6. WOW! 30 years and still looking strong. that is some really clean work! VERY nice!
  7. let me search my pics, when i get home. i think i might have a front shot for you. i do have pics of the 4 link plates that are used on that particular rear.
  8. scott, i'd just like to say that, while others may be doing photoetch parts. i think you supplying them does 2 things: 1) gives the buyer the ability to go to one place to find his all his drag race photo etch. 2) my confidence that you have scaled your photo etch "correctly" is much greater. i know you are doing your homework on this. that being said, i DID NOT say anyone else's photo etch is incorrect. i'm saying i can't be sure since i don't know them. i'm familiar with scott's work and i have a very high confidence factor with scott. in my book scott, i would do as complete of a product line as you can tolerate and don't worry about the rest. if you are building your 4-link brackets to fit a specific plastic model rear end, i can't help you with an axle tube dia.. if you are building off 1:1 specs. the axle tube dia. currently being used in fabricated rears is 3.5". in 1:16 that's 7/32" or .219". in 1:12 it's.292". i'd round it down to a .281" tube dia. are you contemplating creating the "ulra" rear? or are you just interested in the 4 link plates for it? hope this helps.
  9. tyrone, every build you do just confuses the devil out of me. i like this one......no, i like that one.......no, i think, i like this one better.....i'm just gonna say i love 'em all! keep up the incredible work!
  10. i don't know about fastest builds.nothing happens around here any" too" fast. the longest build is my top alcohol dragster. i started in may of 2010. maybe i can finish it before the 2 year mark is up. LOL! edit: it's also my LONGEST @ 51 inches including the wheelie bar.
  11. thanks guys, mostly i just wanted you to see that things are progressing. the printed version should have a way higher level of detail than i could ever produce on my antiquated machinery. jack, don't worry. while i am going to make the second main body today (after all, what good is a single dominator? LOL), i will still be sending the prints off to TDR.
  12. i'm getting closer to completing the dominator drawings. i felt like trying my numbers out so, i machined up a resonable version of the dominator main body. remember this is not made by c.n.c. this is hand machined so,.......ttake it for what it's worth. i had fun with it! the pieces. the assembly. hope you enjoy!
  13. looks fantastic derrick! i love the shot from the top!
  14. ken, that is just off the hook!!!!!!! incredible job!!!!
  15. i guess some good news wouldn't hurt. my issue arrived the other day in fine shape. more importantly the insides were the same old cool stuff. great articles, although my favorite was (you may have guessed ) the freight train. it being a drag car and all. keep up the fantastic work guys!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. WOW! this will be another treat. your detailing is just......WOW!
  17. incredible job you are doing here, bill!! the details really make this come to life.
  18. i build 1/8 scale drag cars exclusively.
  19. since you got such shiney headers, tyrone. i thiught these pics may help a little. oh, i'm still waiting on a reply on the logo thing. hope they help. this car iturning out just incredible.
  20. it's daunting task to build one of these cars and i hear ya romell. wait 'til ya have to build it all from scratch, like i do.....LOL! although it's gittin' a little easier up in in 1/8 lately. lookin' good and keep after it. you can't start the next one 'til this one is done!!!!
  21. chris, fantastic work! this coming out spectacularly!!
