  1. Wow, my eyes hurt and my hands are sweating thinking about those tiny parts. This is quite a project in a small package , it will be fun to see the results. PS I suggest having a tray to work in so you dont misplace something. I sit 1/25 parts down and look all over for them before I find them again.
  2. Very Impressive work there Gino! Those fuel tanks will look really great with the plated ends. I love the headlights on this one.
  3. I really like the picture of the Wilco GMC! Well I really went and did it this time. I tried a different masking tape by Tamiya. It is 2mm wide and for making curves. It is a vinyl tape - reminds me of the Pactra pin striping tape. I believe it did not care for my thinner as it unbonded almost immediately. (Model Master enamel thinner) I knew I should of cut some strips from my usual tape. Oh well, I will let it dry a few days then attempt to clean up the offending areas and respray the white. Thanks for looking in
  4. That is quite the drain hole they have in that oil filter. I just noticed your engine, you may want to reverse your oil pan so the sump is forward. I had to do that on my Pete 377 with a 3406 so the tie rod would clear. I I got this tip from over at "Tim's site"
  5. Nice, this will be a rare seen coe model here on the forum. All I ever find in my old boxes is junk
  6. Very nice Gino, that is a great little kit and I like your camo scheme. I was always fascinated by the Horton's. It was one of the few aircraft I ever built without a prop.
  7. What a perfect looking combination. I love the flames and name on the FLD! How did you assemble the tanker with no fingerprints?
  8. Tom, that just makes me laugh. I would of never guessed one of those being made into a kit. I would of bought one also.
  9. Andy those bench tops are very nice! Congratulations on your new work area.
  10. That looks more like a well stocked hobby shop that caters to model truck builders. Very nice Tom, I am envious of you getting your wife to compromise!
  11. Very nice models and I have noticed there are a lot of talented modelers on this forum from North Carolina. (and other states and countries) You will fit right in!
  12. Dennis - that is some really nice work converting the sleeper. Impressive cab roof also!
  13. Very nice additions everyone. Bill - is that a "porta potty" in the upper right hand of your display case? Terry - You can never have to many snap KW's!
  14. That '57 Ford Wagon is a real beauty!
  15. That is a really sharp paint job , Wow! Very nice looking with the mockup with the tires.
  16. Very nice , really adds the finishing touch to the stacks.
  17. Dennis and Terry this last picture is for you The kit cb was basically a faceplate, I used some styrene scrap to give it a body. Found a piece of p/e fret and cut a mounting strap. There happened to be a stretched piece of sprue within reach of the bench and I cut off half a dozen bits trying to get a flat cut instead of angled for the bracket knobs. Thanks for looking in
  18. Ray - Thank you, perhaps this picture will help out. Starting with two visors I marked the lower one just past the center cab mount on the right hand side - that is the cut line. The piece of the right is discarded. The upper visor has a cut line 3mm left of the center cab mount that will be the other cut line. The piece on the left is discarded. When the two halves are joined there are two center visor supports. I marked the cab mounts with a drawn arrow in case they do not show well in the picture. Mark - I would love to see you pull out that daycab and work on it. Gator - That is Tom's new and improved fancy smancy suspension. My driver does not get those kind of luxuries. Dan - Thank you, I am going to attempt adding the kit cb also. Ken - This truck needs to go to your paintshop.
  19. Dan do you have a set of punches ? I punched a disk out of .010" styrene and cut another piece for the hinge piece. A thin strip of Tamiya tape made the bracket around the stack.
  20. Jim - that is really nice, great color choice I like your suspension. Do you have a build thread on this truck ?
  21. Michael, so sorry to hear of your family loss. That is the toughest thing I have ever dealt with. The ol' Bullnose looks really fabulous with the new and improved grill work! Sergey - Wow, those pictures and truck are top notch. I wish I could read the text.
  22. Thank you guys, Doug - dont go making trouble for me I dont even think I have one of those kits to rob parts from. Chu - I hope the modifications I have done works out. If not I will try again on my next Astro or Titan Some interior work, how about that yummy color Thanks for looking in
  23. Every time I look at this truck, I think the Interior picture was borrowed from a brochure. Very nice work!
  24. Travis , I had missed your updates. I thought maybe you were picking blueberries or something. Take care of yourself.
  25. Ken that is the best description ever ! Kevin, you most likely are correct. I thought the grill surround was way to thick. I cut a piece of tape 2mm and made a border from the front and removed the rest with a file to get it closer to the cab. James those are KJ's wheels and hubs from Double Take Replicas Thank you everyone for looking in and commenting - all tips and hints are appreciated
