  4. Rom... the graphics are off he hook man. this looks sick man and I love it. I cant wait to see more. keep up the great work.
  5. Killer work Mate!!! those coilovers look awesome and they even work... Hmm you are wanting me to step up my game on my funny car and make a few things work huh . Keep this awesome build going. Cheers!
  6. Fantastic work Joe.... I have to admit that I think I like the way you have them even more now. I really like how you have them exiting out of the chassis. It looks awesome.
  7. As promised... I have a few pics to show my progress from tonight. Another night where it didn't feel like I made much progress but it was progress. I will let the pics do the talking now... So I started out tonight by taking the pedal off the pivot bracket and marked up how I wanted to cut the pedal out: After I marked the pedal up, I worked on this for what seemed like an hour and half drilling, cutting, filing and sanding. but I got a pattern in the pedal: Once I had the pedal to where I liked it I moved on to making part of the mounting tabs that will get glued to the chassis that the Pedal assembly will mount to, Here is a pic of all of the parts so far. The piece you see on the right still needs holes drilled and the tab to be shaped: This last pic is just trying to get you a visual of what it will look like with how the pedal assembly will sit on the mounts: Until tomorrow.... I will get more of this done. I need to work on the toe clip rods around the pedal and get the tabs finished and glued to the chassis.... Stay Tuned
  8. Wayne... Nice work on the chassis so far. It's looking great!! look forward to seeing more of it.
  9. Greg... You are blowing me away with the detail on this build Mate!! It's looking great my friend. Don't stop what you are doing because you do some killer work. I am itching for more. Those coilovers and rear end is looking great!
  10. Bill.... You are right I forgot the toes on this thing . Thanks Man!! Jim... Thank you, I have some more work that I will be doing to it here shortly tonight. So stay tuned . Bart....Thanks Buddy.... You know it is funny how we can spend so much time on little parts like that for the detail and end up making it a few times. I must of done at least 3 of them and a few of the extra pieces too...lol. You are right that it is time consuming but well worth it when done. Charlie... Thanks man... You know I haven't thought too much about adding a little weathering to the model... hmmm. It's something to think about but I may leave it as a fresh restoration . I am sure having the pedal weathered ever so slightly would look great though. Richard.... Thanks man on the pedal. I have to give Credit to Dave (Comp1839) he showed me an idea since I couldn't find any reference pics of the pedal to this car. So I decided to roll with what I was shown and am happy with it so far. Kevin.... Thanks man. No I wasn't able to find the exact pedal to the car but Dave was nice enough to let me know what would work. You know I have thought of making what I would call a shadow box and on a few of the scratch built parts creating another and having it displayed in a little box next to the build So you could kind of display them separately . My girlfriend suggested making extra ones and doing the box idea and thought it was cool. We will see if I actually do it.... Rom.... You are so right about when we get one part done we are that much closer to to finishing it right. Thanks man! Alright everyone, I am off to hit the bench and do some more work on this pedal and the mounting brackets for it. I should have an update in a little bit.... give a few hours....LOL
  11. Rom... Everything is looking killer but. Nice work on the paint and I am sure you have more plans for the paint . I love the pic with the car up on the jack stands... Looks Awesome!!
  12. Jack... I will be following along with this build for sure man. This duster is going to be awesome, I can't wait to see it come alive. I know you are going to do an awesome job on it. I really need to start my Pro Mod build like the rest of you guys. I already have my Kit I will be starting out with and I have picked up some parts from TDR as well as having Jim at Micro Nitro turn up some parts for me. So I am acquiring parts so I have them and ready to put into the build but I have to finish up my Funny Car build before I think of starting this Pro Mod.
  13. Chuck.. Great looking decals!! oh man I cant wait to see the next ones you have in store for us. sounds like I may need to order some more here in the near future. I look forward to seeing Mongoose's Hot wheels decals and this taco time vega.
  14. So I sat down at the bench tonight for a few hours and for what I thought was going to be something simple and quick to do ended up taking me a lot longer than I thought. I worked on the gas pedal and how I was going to mount it. I wasn't able to get as much of it done but It's a start and just a little more to do to it. I know it's not a big update to show you but its another small step closer to having the chassis done Here is the start of the gas pedal and mount. I need to fab up the rest of mounting tabs that will glue to the chassis and then this pedal will bolt to the mounting tabs. Also this pedal isn't done yet. I will be making some sort of pattern that will be cut out of the flat stock as well as adding small rod for the toe clip:
  15. What scale are you looking for?? and Jim is right about trying ebay. I know Fujimi makes a 1/25th scale garage tool set.
  16. Beautiful build and very nicely done.
  17. Rom... you are off to a great start buddy!! oh man you have me waiting to see what you have in store next. Also you can't beat the inner coat clear, it is the only way to do builds with multi colors. I buy a few of my House of Kolor paints by the quarts and that's one of them. I have a place that I mail order from and they are cheaper than anywhere I have seen. I look forward to the next step in this painting process. alright man i am off to do a little work on my funny car
  18. Joe.... This is looking Killer man. I have to agree with the others here that I am liking pics #3 & #4 too. You are doing one heck of a job on them and just as Bill mentioned they are worth all of the trouble. I have 30 hours in the headers I have done for my Funny Car.... so I totally know your labor pains going thru it. stick with it and when you get to the end result after many tries... you will realized all of that work was worth it. You are doing an outstanding job on this whole build and its looking great.
  19. David... this build is looking Killer man! Very nice and clean work. Keep up the great job on this build! It's beautiful.
  20. Rom...those jackstands are killer man. nice work bud. i think i may have to make me a set.
  21. Rom.... Great pics buddy. Loving your display you have started for this and can't wait to see what else you have in store for it. The last pic is awesome with the angle its taken at.
  22. John... this build is just outstanding and the progress you are making is just killer. I love seeing your builds come together. I look up to your builds and want to be as good as you one day. Thanks for always sharing your builds and I am looking forward to chatting more at next month at the Desert Scale Classic. Can't wait to see which builds you will be bringing with you.
  23. Tyrone... Looking great man!! I know it's going to be worth all the hard work redoing the paint. Can't wait to see more progress on the paint.
  24. Charlie... beautiful work Bud!! Those wheels are killer and look great.
  25. Hey Brad .... It was great seeing you yesterday and being able to hang out for a few and shoot the breeze. Thanks for the kind words and glad you enjoyed seeing it in person. The next time you see it in person I should have a lot more progress on it. This will be at the Desert Scale Classis on the Under-construction/ Display only table. Brad so I was thinking... would you want me to mail you the tire stencil?? If you do just let me know and I will. It was great to see you as well as Danno at the swap meet. I also picked up a few more goodies for this build
