Bob I am bringing the funny car for sure wasn't going to leave home with out it . I haven't gotten to work on it for the past 2/3 weeks and you will see it in plastic mocked up. I will be leaving the body home so just going to bring the chassis engine etc. will be set up as rolling chassis with engine sitting in place. I am also trying to bring up my 1/16th FED that is in the works too. plus some finished 1/25th scale builds

Dave your work is just beautiful and this build is awesome. I am so amazed at your craftmanship. Really wish I could see your builds in person. I could spend hours looking at all of the detail.

Brad.... I am so sorry to hear this man. this sucks. I just dont get why people can't have respect for other peoples property anymore. people need to treat others the way they want to.be treated and have respect for.other peoples property. You are more than welcome to use my airbrush. -
California Charger F.E.D. update
Mooneyzs replied to vintagedragfan's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
I am super impressed with your work on these headers. Man do they look great. I may have to try doing a set like that out of rod instead of tubing sometime. Very nice job on them and this build is just coming along and looking great.- 369 replies

Awesome Bernard. Yea I was trying to figure out if one of my plastic containers will hold 4 of my completed models and 2 of my 1/16 scale kits that are under construction. Was going to wrap them with some of my micro fiber cloths. sorta how I do when I take them to shows but add a little more to make sure they are safe. I haven't been to NNL west in years and looking forward to it. I will be setting my stuff up around some of the guys who are good friends from the Monterey Bay Scale Auto car club.

Well I am stoked, I am able to take a few days off and come up.... Now my only question is which couple of cars i will be bringing up since i will be flying and not driving now. Looking forward to seeing and meeting others there.

Hey Scott... its a new fad to go.back and redo it all ... lol. Just as you staed I give Rom lots of credit for going back and redoing the work he already did. The rework looks great. all I can say is we are dedicated to our builds. nice work buddy. -
Joe... that front end is out of this world and.looks great. I know all too well what its like to put that many hours into things. I can relate to you very well in that area and see how ou put 14 hours into it. Funny how we do bit wjen you get it right. it makes it all worth it in the end. I cant wait to see more of this build. it is turning out fantastic so far.

1/16 Engine Build
Mooneyzs replied to Pro Tech's topic in WIP: All The Rest: Motorcycles, Aviation, Military, Sci-Fi, Figures
Charlie that is just gorgeous. -
Talk to Charlie at Pro-Tech... his braided line is the best in the business hands down. edited to say: I should have also mention that the best A/N Fittings on the market which is my own opinion is RB Motions fittings. Robert is a great guy to do business with too.

I am trying to make it up from Arizona but not sure if i will get to due to work. I used to go to it all the time when I lived and hour south of Santa Clara. Its probably the best show i have been too. so many great builds to see. Plus I was looking forward to meeting a few of our fellow model builders from here. I have a few great friends who belong to the Monterey Bay Scale Auto model club.

Rom... Looking good buddy. You will want to go with the Dzus fasteners on the deck lid. I would also want to recommend putting some on your front clip as well. If you take a look at pro mods and pro stock cars you will see they all are using them. Can't wait to see more of this Bad Boy... Keep up the killer work -
Nice start on it Scot... I personally use Weld-On #3 which is just like Tenax 7 or Ambroid and I either buy it in a pint or quart size. they used to bottle it in the 4oz bottles like tenax and Ambroid but stopped many years ago. well I found that many plastics places carry the Weld-On products and it ends up being cheaper in the long run I think the last time I ordered 2 quart size containers and I paid either 15.00 or 20.00 a quart for them. It was a smoking deal in my opinion. Anyway I don't think you can go wrong with any of these solvent type glues.

1/16 Scale Army Vega Funny Car - Finished 10/14/2018
Mooneyzs replied to Mooneyzs's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Jack... that is awesome to hear about the Prudhomme dragster. I really look forward to seeing this rail come together. sounds like a great project bringing stuff from old school and present day nostalgia. I do want to ask you how the decals from the Prudhomme kit are. I started my 1/16th FED that is in progress from that car but the decals weren't in the best shape, they started yellowing. Not sure if you had plans to use them down the road or not but if you are interested in selling them or trading them and they are in good condition I would be interested in them. Scott... thanks man Bart.... well you know I should since I have seen what you have done on your Pro Mod.... I really need to step up my game here huh Vince.... Hopefully soon you will get to see it as a roller. Heck I wanna see it as a roller too. actually I just want to see some primer on it lol
