  1. No problem, Charlie. It was my fault because I forgot to specify which it was because I forgot that they did both the coupe and convertible.
  2. Thank you, even though I wish the fishing line wasn't as noticable in a few.
  3. Brian, looks like you nailed the fade perfectly! I do think it would be better to get a little greener green, but still good work. Wanna do mine!?!?
  4. Jim, I can't wait to see how the DupliColor looks. I've been stalled on mine because of the junk Krylon I have to strip from it.
  5. Charlie, I just noticed this in the first post, mine is not the convertible. My kit is Trumpeter's 1963 Nova SS hardtop.
  6. Well, what do expect, it's almost 10 years old!
  7. Here's what mine looks like, and I'm sure this is probably the same one Mike was talking about, too.
  8. Yep, I did, but it's still a cool video! The modern Pete gives it away, and I think somewhere in the related videos there was one showing the redo.
  9. Yep, I use one, too, and wouldn't know what to do without it. If the paint is very thick at the bottom, though, go down into the bottle very slowly to allow everything to mix properly. If you go into the thick stuff to fast, it will bring the mixer to a stop quickly, since it's powered only by two AA batteries.
  10. Thanks everyone for the complements.
  11. Another place you might try is a truck dealership if you have one close. If your lucky, you might even have a CAT dealer near you, and I'm sure they would have it.
  12. Even though I posted a post in the "Wanted" section, I figured I'd post here too to see if any of my scale brother truckers might have one of these that they could spare parts from. I need the hood hinges for Italeri's Ford LTL 9000. and I need both. It doesn't matter if it's from this kit, or any of it's different releases like the Ford US Wrecker. By the way, the hinges from the Ford Aeromax WILL NOT WORK! I tried!
  13. Thanks for fixing the pic, and to answer your question, you aren't alone. I do the same thing on occasion. I might go in to the hobby shop for a car or truck kit, and end up with a tank, plane, and ship model in the bag as well.
  14. I can't really comment on the lower prices, but thanks for letting me know it was on!
  15. PM resent with my email address!
  16. I don't know, maybe because I..a...forgot about this thread! At least I'm glad you found it and reminded me, Dennis!
  17. Maybe I shouldn't mention this, but I have one on the shelf that's still sealed inside. I think I found mine at a show cheap and had to have it for the memories, too. It was also one from my early years of building, too.
  18. Welcome back to the hobby and welcome to the forum. Nice work so far, I can't wait to see how it turns out. All I can say though is if chopping the roof, "Z"ing the frame and bobbing the bed is your idea of a quick easy build, I'd hate to see what your idea of a hard build would be!
  19. Yep, if I had the power to move it, I would! Well, it will hopefully find its way there soon. Nice job on the coilovers, too!
  20. Look again, Steve! I thought that at first, too, but if you look close, the AMP decals are the sub sponsor decals. These bodies come prepainted with the National Guard already on them.
  21. I had sent a PM about the Midnight Cowboy to Drew and had also asked him about that 72 Blazer right after he'd posted it, along with a few other things. My question is, I went to add a reply to it tonight with an offer, and it says Drew left the conversation! What gives, Drew?
  22. Tim, I like the tip for the fire hose, I'll have to check their site out. Where did the nozzle come from, is it a kit piece? That's been one thing holding me up on building Trumpeter's ALF, I want some nice fire hose in it.
  23. Wonderful! Now I just wish I could afford one! Great job on the weathering, too.
  24. That's just a scary thought knowing you think like I do!! Thanks for liking them. You're welcome for the pics of the B-17, too. If you'd like more, I have some detail pics of the inside of her, too. She is also from your neck of the woods, she is housed at the Arizona Wing of the CAF (Commemorative Air Force) in Mesa.
