  1. Obviously too dark and I think you already know that. HOWEVER...I absolutely love the color and agree with above, it works well on this car! Keep going!

  8. DOH! Lol. Didn't even notice!
  9. Yeah for sure! Glad to see you're still on the board!
  10. Moving onto the rear, it's the same story as the front. The kit-supplied taillights lack a chrome bezel and they're frenched in also. Much less work was required here to use the taillights from the diecast car but again, they were basically secured with a touch of Elmer's glue just for viewing. I will have to do a bit of work back here but not much.
  11. So, one of the major complaints about this kit is the headlights and taillights. There are other problems with the kit and we'll get to those later but tonight I wanted to address the headlight and taillight issue. The problem with the headlights is that they don't offer any headlight bezels. The headlights are frenched into the fenders and the headlight opening is actually way too far forward. The headlights with bezel were too large in diameter for the headlight opening on the fender but again, that's because it really is only large enough to accept a headlight lens. However, by cutting back the opening to a stock location, the fender graciously accepts the headlight and bezel from the diecast car. There is still a lot of finishing work to do. The headlights are only sitting in place but you can get the idea.
  12. I dismembered.....err, I mean....disassembled the die cast this afternoon. I know it might seem crazy to sacrifice a whole die cast car for the couple of parts I wanted from it but, rest assured that I will be using a good majority of the rest of the parts for another project I've got in the back of my mind.
  13. Here's a '63 but you get the point.
  14. Love everything about it. It's a gorgeous build! Only one problem.....the taillight panel is supposed to be part of the deck lid.
  15. Another beautiful build from you! I haven't seen a model of yours yet that didn't blow my mind!
