  1. How in the heck did I miss this one?? What a cool restoration! I love it when a model that most people would throw away, gets a second chance at life. You're doing some great things here. Inspirational for sure!!
  2. It's been fun watching your building skills progress. Each model gets better and better. Keep at it!
  3. You'll have to show us what everyone else comes up with. I can't imagine that they'd stack up to this. Great comeback!
  4. Oh yeah!! Lovin' it!
  5. Nice work!!
  6. I will go someday! I've been promising myself that for about 10 years now it seems.
  7. No problems with the front but then I tried 'em on the rear. It was so tight that the wheel wouldn't even squeeze in or wiggle down between the fender and the inner fender well. These cars have very little wheel well clearance so unless we went with the stock skinnies and hubcaps, I had to come up with a plan. .............. I got it! I cut the inner fender well to the width of the frame which would give me enough room. This will not be a full tub but more of a stepped-tub. It will be subtle enough that it would be hard to notice but it gives me exactly the room I need. And VOILA!! Plenty of room! Now I've just gotta pretty everything up a bit and replace the plastic I cut out. Stay tuned......
  8. So tonight I raided the parts box and I tried several sets of Cragars and also some American Racing 5-spokes and nothing was looking quite right. I tried on this set of smoothies for size and I felt these fit the bill perfectly!
  9. West Coast........Florida......?? Huh? Lol!
  10. Welcome! Nice looking start there!
  11. He didn't radius the wheel wells, he just removed the skirts. What gasser has skirts?
  12. I was nervous until I saw the skirts go. So thank you for that.
  13. Nice work Bill!
  14. Oooh.....I think this is gonna be good!
  15. I got 'em loose at a show/swap meet. I believe they're Dubs wheels. Thank you. Thanks for the compliments everyone.
  16. After thinking about it, I decided that I'm going the 6 cyl route. It wont be any Blue Flamer though......
  17. Some nice detailing there. It's too bad the original body went bad. It'll be nice to see when it's all done.
  18. I like it!! That's a nice color!
  19. Wow! I really like this one!
