  1. WOW! How cool is that!? Thanks Wayne!!
  2. OMG!! That thing is one of the most beautiful models I've ever seen. I've never been particularly found of '62 'Birds but I'm now a changed man!! EXCELLENT!!!! Now, I've gotta go find a '62 Tbird. Thanks alot!
  3. I don't want to get into trouble so I wont repeat what I just said out loud while looking at your pictures but..... It had something to do with religious poop. AMAZING JOB!!
  4. Nice work with the flame job! I'd sell my soul to...........wait, NEVERMIND!!!!!
  5. I've never built AMT's version but I've built two of Revell's. I've always thought this kit was very well executed except I felt like they could've made the rear taillight/bumper assy fit better into the body. Otherwise, it's one of my favorites. Nice work with both of these. They look FANTASTIC!!
  6. Wow! This one is going to be fun to watch!! Nice work!
  7. Just a thought for ya to chew on here.......You might want to lengthen your rear control arms. After lowering the car that severely, it will bring the wheels forward in the wheel wells. You could lengthen them to offset that and center the wheels.
  8. WOW! I really dig this. VERY nice!!
  9. And that about sums it up!
  10. Cool subject!
  11. This will be good!
  12. Looks great!!
  13. If it's the 2 door hardtop, I've got a pair. .....of doors that is.
  14. I think it looks pretty sharp! I like the blacked out Rally's.
  15. That is SOOOO cool! NICE JOB!!
  16. Guaranteed wickedness! I'll be watching for sure!!
  17. Ahhh, the joys of a build-thread. Now you all have a front-row seat to my screw up! I need some help here fellas. I was unaware that the Metalizer base would only be used for candy paints and metallics...that sorta thing. Not 1970 Ford Grabber Yellow. So now, I need to figure out how to go about this. Should I just scuff up the Metalizer, apply white primer over it and then go to yellow? What grit should I use? Should I use steps and work up in grits? Please Please Please don't tell me that the metalizer has to come off cuz I already sprayed some pieces for my '40 Ford Pickup also. Stuff like the steel wheels and the engine block (stuff that I wouldn't be able to sand). And from what I understand, if I try to strip this back off with brake fluid or a trip to the purple pond, the metalizer will actually laugh at you!! It wont come off.
  18. With the responses I got here and the more I looked at it, I ended up stripping the hood back down last night. I just couldn't get into it. So I'm back to going with the original plan, the Grabber Yellow. Steve, what are you using for white primer? I use Duplicolor for the grey stuff.
  19. Yeah, we wanna see more progress on the Mooneyes project! I've heard of people losing their mojo and not wanting to touch a project but a knee surgery and blod clot........c'mon. Seems a bit much doesn't it? Glad all is well!!
  20. I'm diggin' it. It looks cool!
  21. That's kinda what I was thinking too.....
  22. Just as a refresher....here's the Grabber Yellow.
  23. I decided to try the Donn Yost method for the first time and I sprayed it down with Metalizer. I ran across a couple of cans of Tamiya spray paint I had laying around so I thought I'd squirt the hood to see what I thought. I'm on the fence with the color.....I need opinions. Do you prefer the Tamiya Mustardy Yellow or the MCW Grabber Yellow?
  24. Very nice job on that one!!
