  1. Both. Looking for things that other people might want. Thanks Roger
  2. Hello, If anyone here is working on something that can be a basis for a master pattern, I might be interested in molding it. It doesn't need to sell very many, just pay for itself (materials and time) in the long term. I can mold pretty fast, even faster if there are a few people who already want a resin copy. The master can't be a resin or based on a resin body. We can work out the compensation. If interested, please email me: robert burns jr101 at yahoo.com Thanks - Rob
  3. I can do both grilles pretty easily. I think the whole kit with no engine
  4. That's no biggie since the truck's underpinnings were the same from 1972. The 4wd version from the 74 will be the same. Thanks Mike Cool!
  5. I can do that, no problem. I'm not sure what the interior diferences would be, so it would have the later interior. 4WD unit from the 1974 version.
  6. Anyone here interested in a resin kit of a 1993 Dodge D150 Single Cab Longbed or 1977 Dodge Ramcharger kit in 1/25th scale? And when I say interested, I mean actually buying one. Price would be average for a high end American resin kit. It won't be cheap, but it wont be as expensive as those European race cars. The D150 will be all new made from a 3d printed master. The Ramcharger will be based on the excellent MPC D100 If I can get about 10 kits spoken for each, I'll start working on them. If interested, please email robert burns jr101 at yahoo.com Thanks - Rob dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr 3517720002_large by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr 77rchargerbydmcclafferty_1 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr
  7. If these sell decent, they will be redone with the driver wall in place and nicer fitting wheel wells and doors. audi_model_01 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr

  9. Hello All, I wanted to share the resin preshot kits. These were made to test a few methods of resin casting and mold making. These can be ordered, but the builder would have to scratchbuild the wall that separates the driver from engine area. The doors and wheel covers will need minor sanding to fit better. 11. Hello All, Here are some renderings of the next resin kit I'm building. If I get 10 pre orders, I'll have this ready by this summer. chevy-026 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr chevy-028 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr chevy-029 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr
  12. Oh, also if you are a resin manufacturer, you will get a discount for multiple orders. Turn around time will be faster with multiple masters provided at once. Thanks - Rob
  13. That's a good idea. If anyone wants to donate some headlights of different sizes, I can start casting them. Yes, I use a different resin that never yellows.
  14. Thank you for your posts. I'm set up now, so anyone who wants a clear bumper, please email me at robert burns jr 101 at yahoo.com for pricing. Turn around time is 1 month. Add to that you want it chrome plated. Cheers - Rob
  15. Trademarks like names are renewed every year. Ford and Mustang are Trademarks. Anyone can buy it if it lapses. Old ones like Hupmobile or something might be available. Design patents are styles and last for 14 years. 1957 Chevy Bel Air is free game. 2014 Impala is protected. Copyrights last for 50 years after the death of the artist or end of the company. Aurora is okay to copy if it's been more than 50 years, which in some cases there are. Less than 50 but someone has to be around to care enough to hire a lawyer which is slim in some cases. It doesn't matter the % changed. If it is based on something that was copyrighted, then it is technically illegal. The real issue is whether they will go after you or not and if they can prove it. The kit companies generally don't but they can if they want to. Most modelers turn a blind eye to it as well.
  16. I'll be taking orders next week. Please email me if interested, robert burns jr101 at yahoo.com. Thank you!
  17. Thank you all for your responses Thank you! Yes, I will No, nothing from Modelhaus for a while
  18. Any ideas of things you would actually buy in resin? Thanks - Rob

  22. Hello All, Just wanted to share my latest resin kit: 1974 Dodge D100 Single Cab longbed. It will be molded in silver. Colors I used for the test shot are just for fun. I'm not sure about price yet. I'll try to lower it if possible. Comes with Cab, bed, chassis, tail gate, grille, interior, front and rear bumpers, tail lights, and tail light trim. Use Little Red Truck to finish it. IMG_0706 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr IMG_0705 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr IMG_0703 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr
  23. Hello All, I thought I'd share a possible project I'd like to start. It's a clear resin copy of chrome bumpers that had headlights molded in. This way, you can mask off the headlights and get the part chromed or paint them to match the body. If anyone is interested, please post what car to do. I'd like to do groups of bumpers and would like to sell them in groups of at least 5. I'll start on the most popular if there's enough interest. Resin manufacturers are welcome to chime in as I'd like to provide these for you in larger orders. Below is a before and after for a 1974 Dodge D100 grille. Thanks - Rob IMG_0689 by dakota_in_the_sky, on Flickr
  24. Excellent job Jean-Jacques! This is my first Futurliner kit to be finished by a customer. I'm so proud! This isn't from Joel Dirnberger, it's one of my resin pieces. Wasn't rough at all, but required scratchbuilding or kitbashing to finish
