Hmm... Two springs ago, We had a 3.6 here in Central Indiana that was centered about 30 miles North North West of me, near Windfall... It was called a 'local subfault area'.

"Holy Grail" Models?
Wagoneer81 replied to Billy Kingsley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Ahh... Grail kits... I have several, was able to aquire two built-ups this year. A 4070 International Transtar COE and a 4070 Transtar II... Those that remain out of reach include the entire Tyrone Malone truck collection, the Bandag Bandit, the Super Boss, Mama Truck and Hideout truck... I would like to see these re-issued. -
Chevy Titan 90 and Lifestock Trailer
Wagoneer81 replied to Dominik's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
This truck and trailer just look good together. I'm working on the same combo, in blue and white... I hope mine turns out as nice as yours. -

This kit does make for a good first truck kit... Looks good! -

Yes, AITM is a top notch company. I drool uncontrolably whenever I look at their site... I'll be watching this build with great interest. I have two 4300's and an older 4270, builtups that I'm slowwwly rebuilding... -
nascar race / Demolition Derby
Wagoneer81 replied to clavender17's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Danica hasn't had a really good season... Has she finished a race or has she been 'taken out' each time? Yeah, never have seen an entire team go after one driver before... I think Jeffs' life may have flashed before his eyes when he saw an entire team coming at him with blood in their eyes... -
nascar race / Demolition Derby
Wagoneer81 replied to clavender17's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Uhh.... What a Cluster? Without taking sides, mind you, I'm just a casual observer and I have no favorites this season...(I only watched the race today because Dad had it on and I was sitting in my recliner with my laptop...) Not saying he was right or wrong but, looking at Gordon and Bowyers past 'track record' of incidents this season, I think Jeff had just had enough and without thought, retaliated. I knew it was going to cause a blowout... Regardless, it was the most entertaining thing I've seen on TV in quite a while... Running for cover, hoping this doesn't start a flame war... Guys, please, keep it civil?!? -

Chevy Titan 90 and Tanker Trailer
Wagoneer81 replied to camaro73's topic in Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Very nice! I am finishing this same trailer kit AND also have a Titan 90 on the bench as well, although not as a combined unit like yours. The trailer is going behind a K123 and the Titan is going to pull a Wilson livestock trailer... I had a rough time trying to keep everything straight during assembly. My biggest issue was getting the barrel halves to line up properly... It took a lot of masking tape and reinforcment of the seam with thick CA... Mine isn't perfect but it turned out ok...You did a wonderful job and you certainly did these two kits a world of justice!!! -
Just a small update to show that I am back on this monster... I won't bore you with details, let's just say that I'm feeling a bit better than I was... Yes, it looks a litle rough but... It's just to the point of being roughed in. I'm having to shim, trim and fit and so far, I'm pleased with how things are going. These are a few of the 5" gun houses... notice the .010 white styrene shims? I didn't do that with my first build and it showed... More later! Thanks for looking!

How old is your resin? From the pics, it looks like your resin has gone bad. When did you buy it and how long has it been open? Most resins have a finite lifespan after being opened and exposed to oxygen... usually a couple of weeks... The missing valve cover is caused by a large air bubble gathering in that part of the mold.

1943 Mack EHU
Wagoneer81 replied to chuckyr's topic in 1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)
Very cool! But... can you imagine, short wheelbase, leafspring suspension... That thing would rattle your eyeballs and dump your kidneys into the ditch after a few miles... I love it! -
I'll definitely post pics of the build... If you're up for it, there's 22 various Monogram 1926 Mack kits on Ebay, averaging around $25.00 per... there's a couple of complete/started kits for around $3.00 bid with 5 days left... Every once in a while, someone will put several on for a .99 opening bid and flood the market. That's how I got my tanker for $7.00 with S&H... Got it in the last minute for the opening bid...
