  1. Pictures first, I want to build a transmission brace out of brass. Anyone ever mated these two together?
  2. I'm in that age bracket, to where I want to hold on to the past, and embrace the future. Simply because I'm young enough to do it. Here is the thing I have learned, life goes on regardless if your there or not. Things also pass from us, that's a given. My next statement is for everyone and maybe there is something to it, maybe there is not. Regardless of what comes and what goes, and what is here to stay. It's not the value of things, its the value of life that is behind us of what it has taught us. We hold onto these things from when we were children, not because of the object itself, but of the life it reminds us of. We don't see the values, and the principles taught for the most part, in the American home anymore. O how I wish that we could go back to the old days, where people were friendlier, could drive better, would lend a hand in a second. And yes go back to the days of the horse and buggy sometimes. It isn't the fact of having those things, its just the fact of how we lived life. It's not that I'm scared for the hobby, because look at it now. I don't know the last time I have seen grass stained knees or muddy children. They are usually inside playing video games or being washed by what they call cartoons now. That's part of my two cents.
  3. IMHO I don't care who puts their signature on it, as long as it does not jack up the price I'm ok with it. I made a mistake and traded off my 1:12 vette. I want to build the large scale kits so $70 is not bad, besides that if it does go to HL there's a coupon. If not i usually find it on sale or another coupon somewhere.
  4. I'm going to find some new spots, the spot I have been going to, I'm only catching panfish. I want to catch catfish and bass.
  5. You can't satisfy everyone, so just satisfy the ones you can.
  6. Revell makes a scooby that has engine detail. Which most revells have engine detail anyway. Most tamiyas that I have seen have engine detail. From what I have heard the fujimi are all curbside.
  7. Mike, I wish I could follow that, but in this situation I cannot. I do realize that any glue that gets beside the button will make it stick. The process that it requires has to be precise so I can not have any excess glue in any spot. I would show everyone, lol but everyti me I show an " in progress" I never progress from there. So when I'm done, I will show everyone and the steps I went through.
  8. Ya know, I'm glad to see this type of relationship. Makes me glad to see (what I consider) part of the American history. A pastime of sorts. Both of you keep up the good work.
  9. Edit your original post, you have to select advanced in the lower right corner I believe. Once you click that, you can then edit the title.
  10. I had one, that had a longer shaft. I would prefer it over the current. I would still have to glue a piece to it even though it was longer.
  11. Ok the results are, are like bill posted. Checked the top two together and the bottom two together, the both show closed(continuency, ohm out, etc) So I could snip two off if need be, so I can make a box to fit it.
  12. Right, I bought a cheap flashlight to tear apart to see how it works. I have a couple different designs on the momentary switches. One has four like shown, the other has two legs. Both of which are referred to as a tactical switch. The switch I have came from a thermostat, raising the temp, another to lower. I will post updates on how this particular one works. Which I'm sure it works as mentioned.
  13. I also realize what works well for one, does not necessarily work for another. I'm going to RS today, ill post updates on if I find anything. I believe I have the 30 watt.
  14. Ah, I think I posted from my phone when I done that. I completely understand the quality tools, but have to understand my current budget and need for this solder gun right now. I probably will end up just buying extra tips for mine.
  15. Jeff, ok more of wishful thinking on my part. Hoping for a flashlight effect. Greg, no package for these. I will be getting the meter out today, that is the easiest way.
  16. Jeff you put 130. I was like o my cow that's high. So $25 is plausible. Unless yours was $130
  17. I got thinking about how this thing works, Being just a momentary switch I press it, the lights come on. I let off they go off. Simple logic But having four prongs Would press once, it comes on and stays on? Press again it goes off I do this by using all four leads? This is a plastic, it came from a "mother board" I am in hvac and I tear the old thermostats apart for switches like these.
  18. I'm keeping the length of the legs, just the other two that may/may not be used. I'm not 100% how these type work. For the button, ill pick some up tomorrow. I need to get to the dollar store anyway for some remote switches.
  19. What I have is a momentary switch, Would it be plausible to cut two prongs off? So I can make a better box to hold it? Second thing is that I need to extend this about 1mm or so, is this made up of PVC? Or what material and would it be ok to glue a piece of styrene to it?
  20. The amount of work I do is small for now, but I have a hundred or so LEDs that I will be using, and more to come. Along with switches and whatever else. Ill get down to 1mm LEDs eventually so micro is what I need. I do have a radio shack special, and I am going tommorow to check on tips. If not i might grind this one down. I'm starting another thread about this switch, just using as an example here.
  21. The grilling thread got me thinking about what I could put on it, and what better food to grill than fish, and of course other meats. Here's my 2013 line up Along with a tackle box too small
  22. Since I have nothing on the grill yet, I thought I would post mine. Got mine for the big price off free, it was a burnout and have to replace a few parts.
  23. Ouch, I'm not that big into yet. I will though keep those in mind I like the size and definitely like the station. I might check out some micro tips for the current one. Until my business is running full steam I can't swing high prices right this moment.
  24. Excellent, how did you end up doing the black?
