  1. Jeez, we'll that's what I have, I guess I need to get a smaller tip. Thank you
  2. I have a monster of a solder pen or gun whichever your prefer. I am looking for a smaller one. Not sure what to look for because every time I search I come up with the same results. I have some LEDs I want to solder along with switches.
  3. I keep seeing a reference to these saw blades for opening doors. I looked for them, to no avail. I may have seen them, but passed over them. What do I look for?
  4. Casey ill check them out thank you. Lee I will be checking on a caliper for sure, and yes I am interested the sheets.
  5. Welcome, you keep up that work and you will have them cars driving in no time.
  6. Love this kit, wish I could find it again.
  7. Depending on what day it is. No exaggeration it's the high of 75 with a chance of frostbite, expected snow with a warming trend. Lol That's what it was like here last week.
  8. 1: haven't used alclad so I can't help there 2: I use the blade with great results, when it does slip out, I just sand it out. 3: never touched bmf, hardly anyone comments on my builds so I don't have to give the "stack the blades" answer. I simply use frog tape or tamiya tape for my lines. Great results Overall patience and practice makes a better model.
  9. For things you had on hand, it looks great. Practice makes it better, now for the future you have options in wiring, you can also the same wire under another name on the Internet, or on ebay called kynar wire.
  10. No expert here, but stores dissapear for a large variety of reasons, three of which you mentioned. Lack of interest Lack of customer service Shiny new business that looks better(big hobby shop) Then again this is a large can of worms that everyone has their opinions on why someone shut down. In our hobby lack of interest is key to the largest amount of sales, because if it is not electronic it's not worth it.
  11. I'm no expert, but seeing that your house has been wired that long ago. We were placing some new lights in a church. Well in the boxes, and I don't know how to explain it other than everything was wired backwards to what we do now. This was noticed by a professional electrician. They ran the hot to the light and broke the ground. This might be the case in some weird setup. Where your power is broke by the switch instead of the ground.
  12. Not sure on the size everything ive seen want .1 to whatever unless im dyslexic it might be .01 to whatever. For the most part thickness does not matter, I want to build boxes, speaker, fuel, etc so the thickness will be hidden. The reason I want around .6 is for the stability. I use vise grips, snips etc so when I clamp on something I don't want to feel like I'm going to crush it. Building with the thin stuff feels like paper. Someone mentioned a long while back about getting styrene from sign shops, if so what would I ask for? I like the looks of plastistruct and evergreen I just don't know what to look for. Some things I have to see and feel before I buy. I rarely go to hobby town they are high.
  13. No where near that big lol. But that's what I'm looking for. I have .10 would .60 be good to use? I'm using a large for sale sign now. Not sure what thickness that is. Maybe .30?
  14. I got one of those. Just seems too flimsy. I'm about to head to Home Depot anyway and ill check if they have anything else.
  15. I've looked on ebay and other sites, I find it in small quantities. Where do you find the larger sheets? I've seen some say that they get larger sheets for just as cheap.
  16. I had a brain fart, hope it don't get any worse than that. Turn it into a zombie apocalypse ride, zombies will surely see who rides that thing has no brains and will go the other way.
  17. Just as bad as people wearing tap out shirts, they have no idea what it means. This isn't custom anything, its puke. Van Gogh can do something better.
  18. Seeing this, I know that the older I get my body will start acting up. Turning 30 this year I'm getting my head together, but my body is falling apart lol. I've had more back trouble with pinched nerves and other minor stuff than I ever had. I've cut out all but root beer and birch beer for sodas. I even had some older guys make fun of me because of it. Thank you for posting info in what to do, don't take this wrong but I figured out long ago, to learn from others mistakes. My wife bought me a bike carrier, now we go biking, running and walking to stay in shape. Too much fast food will kill you. Literally. Edit: I don't have a lot of "faith" in doctors. I don't get checkups, because I've had too many relatives get prescribed wrong meds or dosages. Sometimes I think most of those meds cause worse than what was, then they give you meds for those effects.
  19. Can 315's really fit in that chassis? Can't wait to see more.
  20. Anne, will there be any more on this build. I just broke down and opened mine so ill be watching. Thank you for the pictures they help a lot. Do you, or anyone know about the trunk area of these cars?
  21. It appealed, now get that masterpiece together lol. Only thing I see missing are the new car stickers from the dealer. I have yet to build one and put the "new car" smell for car shows.
  22. It's more for mcm to reach people that don't have facebook like me and never heard about this place. So mcm would have their own IG and post builds from here and from others that have been published in the magazine. I'm not asking anyone to set up an account that can't.
  23. I'm not sure who has, or who has thought of this. But Ihave been seeing a lot of cars on Instagram, along with a lot of places of business. Gregg or Harry have you guys thought about creating an account for IG? You can post directly to FB from there. I also understand that this would take time to post pictures etc etc. maybe a third party could act on your behalf. And post pics from the magazine or builders cars from news to pros. While we can't post every car it would help some on Instagram that don't know about this place. I have other ideas as well. Just wanted to put the feelers out there to see what everyone thought.
  24. Looks like I need to get back on my chargum. I had worked with fiber optic on a ride with a mix of LEDs. You have many options with fiber optic down to side marker lights.
