  1. I was able to talk to Ed Sexton, formerly of Revell USA until last Friday when the axe fell at the Milwaukee NNL # 26 last Saturday and it was mentioned that the Ford GT car should be out this coming August but only time will tell.
  2. I had one of those park next to me at a Concours car show last year and it is an interesting piece of transportation.
  3. I'll stick with embossing powder and sometimes Ken's Fuzzy/Funny{?} Fur.
  4. I don't find it confusing at all as some builders or just kit buyers complain about EVERY kit.
  5. I was glad to see you guys at the show and really liked your NASCAR display. We usually have better weather for the event in April, however that was not the case this year. Some of our AMG members make the Detroit shows, however I'm not one of them as I don't do long drives anymore like I used to. It would be great to see some of your members attend in the following years as we always welcome everyone. We've had attendees from Winnipeg, Puerto Rico, and a couple of other countries attend our NNL at one time or another. There were a couple of years where we had 900+ models. Thanks for the kind words Tony.
  6. I know the owner of this LRW and hope to see it again soon, but only time will tell................................................
  7. I was hobby shoppin' back in those days and it was a whole different ballgame, and nothing like the hobby chains we have today.
  8. II did get to talk to Tom last night and meet Kevin also. Someday I'll catch up to you as well. On the Spotlight Hobbies Message Board a guy by the name of Marty posted 744 photos of yesterday's event.
  9. Companies and businesses get shut down everyday and of course there's layoffs too when they want to "trim the expenses" and it's not a matter of caring about the employees at all. It's all about MONEY .
  10. The weather was crappy yesterday for the Milwaukee NNL 26, however we did have a good turnout with builders comin' from Detroit, Minnesota, and other neighboring states and a total of 688 models on the tables. It was icing and sleeting when we left the show for the drive home, however in spite of the bad weather I'm sure glad I went as I really don't want to ever miss the Milwaukee NNL .
  11. Have their molds and rights to start making their parts again? The answer is NO as the business is "for sale" to anyone who can flash the ca$h and wants to work long hard hours to sell, cast, and send high quality resin kits and parts.
  12. Very nice build on that Foosemobile and I hope that mine comes out that good as I have one started.
  13. Don't hold your breath, as I see total disruption now that Revell USA is no longer. Of course we can only hope for the best.
  14. That is very true as I talked with Ed Sexton today at the Milwaukee NNL and he said the same thing. He also said that the Model A kits were "up in the air" and the GT 40 full detail kit may be out in August.
  15. I use both Tamiya and Testors paints, as some have different colors than others. I do think that most of the time the Tamiya paints go on nicer than Testors as I'm a "rattle can" man. My bottled paints for hand painting engine blocks, parts, detailing, etc. are mostly Testors both enamel and acrylics.
  16. We had to do that on the job site using our head and a tape measure.
