I remember that one VERY well as I had a rear engined car and still got stuck in the snow. Was able to get the car home and left it there. I hitch hiked, walked, or took a bus to work for the next few days. I'll never forget the "Blizzard of '67."
I have the "blind spot" mirrors on my F-150 and my wife's Taurus has light indicators on her mirrors to signal another car is in the blind spots. Works really good.
When people look through the windows or window openings of your model, who's gonna be able to tell if you're using ribbon or not? Maybe if they use a flashlight and or a magnifying glass.
I make my seat belts out of masking tape cut to fit the width of the photo-etched hardware, and painted any color that I want them. It works good, try it.
