  1. We only have a few inches of snow also, quite a few!
  2. I got the latest issue of Elapsed Times at the grocery store today, and hopefully it'll help motivate me into building again.
  3. Ron, you should know by now that Harry's the official forum comedian.
  4. Rocketfin has a great bunch of aftermarket websites to check out as well as socarculture. Lots of resin bodies, parts, photo etch, etc.
  5. That's no excuse Joe as I've been drivin' here in the Midwest for 50+ years and never had any need for a Jeep.
  6. Welcome Scott, and sorry to hear about you snow blower as I think that happened to my neighbor as well. This is a great place to be.
  7. You too Harry? The village plow waits around the corner by me 'til I finish my driveway, and also makes a pass blocking the entryway. I know EXACTLY what you mean.
  8. It's still SNOWING here, and clearing it is getting to be a job. Guess I'll have to go get more gas for the Toro tonight after I get done with the driveway. Oh well, lookin' for spring in 'bout 100 more days.
  9. What a BEAUTIFUL job you've done on that dragster Bill. I have a couple of those kits in my stash somewhere and who knows when, if ever I get around to building them.
  10. I have a "playoff party" to attend next weekend, and hopefully it'll be "fruit full" for me as it has been in the past.
  11. Fred Cady is alive and well from what I've heard, as I did see him last year at one of the swap meets. I used to belong to a model club with Fred, and also rode the train to Chicago with him every day back in the mid 80's.
  12. It was a great meeting and some really nice builds on the display table.
  13. You right Ron, as the more I look at that photo, the more things I find wrong with it..
  14. In "the god old days" back in the 60's if we got the urge for "the need for speed, it was met on the street, the highways, and also on the local drag strip. It was almost always a great "rush" as everything was "real" and so were the dangers as well. While I wouldn't do those things now as the 60's are long gone and a fading memory, it was a great time to be behind the wheel.
  15. I've had to work outside when the wind chill was -25 degrees, but I was probably 15 years younger then. I've also camped out in tents about 20+ years ago when the temp was 10 below, I survived but don't ask me to do it again. LOL!
  16. More of that "white stuff" comin' on Saturday. Oh boy, oh joy, I can hardly wait. Yeah, right.
  17. At 1 p.m. today it looks like the snow finally stopped. And after plowing the driveway 3 times yesterday and once this morning, it's getting "old." I had to cancel my doc's appointment this morning as well.
  18. Peter, it's simple, either feed the bull (Toro) or get out the shovel.
  19. Yeah, it'll just be cold for a couple of days Harry, but it'll be in the low 80's in Honolulu. Too bad that I don't have any "airline miles" left.
  20. I really don't mind the four seasons as I do such a LONG winter. It would be more tolerable if the winter was a month shorter. Right now I'm waiting for it to stop snowing again, so I can plow for the second time today. Who knows, maybe I'll have to go out a third time as well. Good news is that the snow-blower is runnin' good.
  21. Very good point there Robert.
  22. What a great project and great work you've done on it Sean, as I happen to know the current owner of the car and have sat in it also. No, I didn't get to drive it. LOL!
  23. Looks like I'll be crankin' up the snow-thrower early on New Years day and bustin' open the bag of salt that's in the back of my truck as well. Only 'bout 100 days and spring will be here.
  24. A VERY Happy New Year to ALL of you and your families.
  25. No Daniel, send them to me and I'll hold on to them for you. Thanks!
