  1. Your Mopar is lookin' good so far Ron.
  2. Go EASY on the number of coats of candy color, because too many coats will lose the candy effect of the base coat showing through. Example, if your top coat is candy red, green, blue, you want your basecoat color to show through like silver or gold or whatever you choose. I hope this helps.
  3. Yeah Round 2 could ca$h in on all the hoopla, but I really don't see it happeninin' anytime soon.
  4. Nice job on that roadster Jim, real nice.
  5. In the early 90's or 22 years ago. Wow. I fell like the "Engergizer Rabbit" as I just keep goin' and goin.' LOL!
  6. I believe that watercraft is available from Replicas & Miniatures of Maryland.
  7. Awesome job on that wagon as well as the midget, a handsome pair they are.
  8. What a boat, and curb feelers too! Really nice job you've done on that Ford.
  9. I would paint that "Pony" Tamiya's Mica Red followed by a coat of Clear Red.
  10. I got this cord from Hobby Lobby to use on my chute pack. <a href="http://s818.beta.photobucket.com/user/itsagas1320/media/Model%20Cars/DSC00897.jpg.html" target="_blank"><img src="http://i818.photobucket.com/albums/zz104/itsagas1320/Model%20Cars/DSC00897.jpg" border="0" alt=" photo DSC00897.jpg"/></a>
  11. I saw a few of those bodies at our club meeting last night and they look pretty good.
  12. Whoa Mike, as the DuPage show did NOT take out an ad in the latest issue of the "other" mag and I stand to be corrected. Yes that is the Milwaukee NNL and if you've never been there, you won't be disappointed as we usually have 600+ models on the tables as well as club displays, a great raffle, and great music and PA system all day long. Photographers are shooting pics for upcoming issues of the model car mags also. The swap meet is the following day (Sunday) at the Waukesha Expo Center.
  13. Mike, I believe it is advertised in the latest issue of the "other" mag and don't forget the NNL and swap meet in April on the 13th & 14th.
  14. Happy Birthday Gregg.
  15. Well yeah they're trucks as long as you can haul a refrigerator or a washer and dryer in them along with a queen size bed also. Or maybe a furnace, coil and condensing unit with the 8 foot long ductwork and fittings to go along with it. Or maybe 10 sheets of 1/2" drywall, 6 sheets of plywood and a couple dozen 2 x 4's. Of course it's a truck.
  16. Good job on the tutorial Ace, and thanks.
  17. Thanks Andy, and like Casey I also have some vintage Hot Rod and Super Stock magazines from the 50's and 60's as they make great reference material for future builds and also reading and photos of time gone by. Todays magazines are kinda lame in my book and it seems like I get less and less as the years go by.
  18. I get most of my mags in the mail and sometimes at Greenfield News & Hobby which has an awesome magazine rack with something for everybody. I only wish the store was closer.
  19. Sorry to hear the sad news, may he R.I.P.
  20. There seems to be a few resin casters around who offer those A990 seats, so you should have no trouble finding them.
  21. That is sweeeeeet lookin' so far.
  22. Sometimes a loooooooooong time, however I was surprised at how fast they put the '50 Olds, the '69 Olds 442, and the '57 Ford on their shelves.
  23. I should spend less time on this keyboard and MORE time building models.
  24. I've used Rustoleum on chassis and parts with no primer underneath and no problems either.
  25. Great job on that Merc and I really like the color also.
